Hey, I am Serenity. I live in a 2 story house with my brother Mark, my mom Brittney, and my dad Jeff. My brother and I are on the second story a lot, as our bedrooms are there. There is also like a whole house on the second story, besides a kitchen.
"Hey, Mark. Law and Order: SVU is on. Wanna come watch it with me?" I yell from the TV room upstairs. He is downstairs.
"Yeah, will be up in a sec." I hear Mark yell.
Little does he know that he will only get to watch 30 minutes of it. Because then we will have to go to bed.
"Kids, time for bed," Mom yells at us from downstairs.
"Okay." We both say in unison.
About 30 minutes after my parents go to bed, I hear a faint knocking like sound on my window. So naturally, I get up and check it out. It is my boyfriend, Duke, throwing pebbles. I open the french doors and walk out onto the balcony.
Once I am finally on the balcony I say, in a soft voice, "What are you doing here? It is 12:30. If my parents catch us we are in so much trouble."
"I know. But I am here to get you. We are going somewhere." Duke says to me.
"Where are we going?"
"It's a surprise. But I know you will like it. Just trust me. When have I ever let you down?"
"Never. Fine. But we are going to your house afterwards. And I will not have time to come back in the morning to get ready for school, I will bring the stuff with me. No makeup, only clothes and books."
"That's my girl. Now hurry up. We don't wanna get caught. And I like the idea of you spending the night. Maybe we should do it more often." Duke replies, with a smirk on his cute face, that makes his blue eyes sparkle.
So as I grabbed my clothes for tomorrow purposefully forgetting night clothes, Duke gets his truck ready. He had parked it at the neighbors, because she is Duke's sister.
As I make my way down the stairs, I text Duke and tell him I am almost at the door.
In Duke's truck it is warm. He has his arm around me, pulling me close, since I am in the center it is easy to put his arm around me. I am also wearing his jacket. He put it on the seat for me, as he does every time.
