What is Love?

LOVE. 

What is love?  Love is used to describe many things, one’s feelings, an experience, or appreciation. 

Topol, a character from Fiddler on the Roof, would quote, “As the good book says…”

The good book (The Holy Bible) stated in 1 Corinthians 13:4-13 (NIV)

 “4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 

As for the dictionary (merriam-webster) stated:

Love (n)

a (1) :  strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties <maternal love for a child> (2) :  attraction based on sexual desire :  affection and tenderness felt by lovers (3) :  affection based on admiration, benevolence, or common interests <love for his old schoolmates>

b :  an assurance of affection <give her my love>

:  warm attachment, enthusiasm, or devotion <love of the sea>

With these descriptions of love, two different points of view.

WHAT IS LOVE?  

Even with these views, why does love appears simple and yet, we make love difficult?

Love is everything.  Without love one can ruin the happiness they have yet to experinces.  But they want to torture others to fill that void.  Without love, one can not find that passion to pursue a goal or career.  

Love is many things that people take for grated.
