"Alex! Good morning!" A very familiar voice screamed from across the hall. How could my best friend be this enthusiastic in the morning of the first day of school? I don't know. She probably drinks some energy drink for breakfast and is keeping it a secret from us.

I watched the hyper teen wave her hand in the air and bouncing coming my way. I waved back and started walking slowly .

"Good morning to you too, Kira." I replied and smiled when she reached my side, and gave her a light hug. This hyper girl is my best friend, Kira Andrews. We both just started junior class in high school, literally. This is the first day of the year!

Our school is unique compared to the ones with cliques. Here, you can find nerds and cheerleaders as best friends, and nobody judges anybody. You're free to be whomever you want and wish to be. We have one of the best soccer and basketball teams (we don't always win, we just reach at least one of the final four). Our teachers are the kindest and smartest, and the students are the best. Such an amazing school. Though it's unbelievably cliche, it's different compared to the ones in movies.

Kira and I walked a few steps to reach her locker, since I already set up mine, and took out my books. She opened the locker and started sorting out her things, and I leaned on the locker beside her and chattinglike we normally do in every morning.

I was so absorbed in the conversation that I didn't notice when two hands enclosed around my waist until I felt chapped lips kiss my cheek, and retire back to whisper in my ear "good morning beautiful."

The gesture sent shivers down my spine, but I didn't care about them and replied "good morning to you too, Zach!" With a grin on my face, I looked at his. He had a special gleam in his eyes which I see every time we look at each other along with his crooked grin.

Zach let his right hand fall to his side, but kept his other wrapped around my waist, and brought me closer to his side, and looked down at me from a high spot. "How are you, Shorty?"

"I'm fine, if you consider coming back to school is great." I replied looking at him. "And get away from me, you giraffe!" I said hitting his chest and poking him away lightly. This caused him to hold to me tighter and scream "I'll never let go!"

Introducing Zach Grey, my childhood other best friend. We've basically been friends since we were born, hence us being neighbors with no fence between our houses. He's the basketball team captain, and at an advantage with his 6"6 height. Compared to me, I'm a smurf. He's considered one of the school's best looking guys, with loads of girls around him. Though he never had a girlfriend. I know that, because if he did, I'd be the first he tells.

"What class do you have now?" Kira asked as she closed the locker.

"I have Mrs. Sparks for Algebra. What about you?" I replied and looked at my schedule.

"Aw, we have the same class!" Zach said from my side and let go of my waist, leaving coldness behind him.

"Dammit! I'm with Dr. Brown's class" Said Kira and we showed her sympathy. That poor thing. Dr. Brown is one of the most boring teachers of the most exciting subject in this year's schedule. Nobody wishes to be in his class. They go there to sleep for the hour.

"You guys are so lucky. I bet all your classes are the same." Kira said and looked at us with a pout on her lips. It just always happens for us. Zach and I get almost the same schedule, and she doesn't share a lot of classes with us.

"I'm curious about this year." Zach said. "Give me your schedule." He said and extended his hand. I gave him my schedule to compare it with his.

"Oh, wow. It happened again. Except that we don't share History together." Zach finally said.
