Found Again~Mikey Way

Start from the beginning

I shook it off and kept going though the class.

>lunch<

Gerard and Claire took the two seats in front of me and Frank took the one next to me and Ray sat with a couple other friends. "Sooo, Mikers, why don't you invite the new girl over?" Frank asked, nodding his head at the girl from my homeroom, math, and history classes.

She sat alone and I noticed that she wasn't eating. I frowned and bit my lip but sighed and stood up, feeling some eyes on my back as I went over to her. I sat in the seat next to her and watched as she drew.

"Whatcha drawing?" I asked and smiled sheepishly when she jumped in shock. "Sorry," I apologised, noticing that her eyes avoided mine. "Hey, look at me, I don't bite," I joked and she shook her head, a ghost of a smile forming on her face.

"Come sit with me and a few of my friends, we're all pretty nice, I guess," I nudged her arm gently and she smiled a little. "Alright," she said in a quiet voice, indicating that she's shy.

That's ok, I'm shy too. "Um, hang on, I have to get my stuff together. Go ahead and go back, I'll be over in a minute," she said, standing and starting to gather her art stuff.

I went and sat back down with the guys, explaining what all was said. I ignored them as they tried to think of who it could be and watched as she started to walk over. She was thin, too thin, and you could see some bones sticking out but not too bad. I felt sad that someone would do that, on purpose or not, and decided that I would help her, whether I remembered her or not.

She smiled lightly as she sat next to us and I watched in confusion as recognition passed over Gerard's, Claire's, and Frank's faces. "Oh my God," Claire whispered, looking in awe at the person next to me.

"It is true, you're back," Frank murmured, looking between me and her. "What are you talking about?" I asked, looking between my friends and brother. "Seriously?! Look at her!" Gerard exclaimed and I turned to look and she made eye contact immediately.

Once I seen those blue/green eyes, I knew who it was. There was no doubt about it and I have no idea how I didn't recognise her earlier.

It's Ashes. My old best friend, the girl who I didn't know I loved until she left. Ashes, who is supposed to be in California. Ashley Baker is back.

"Ashes. . ." I murmured in shock. "It's you," I added stupidly and she laughed, turning her face. "Yeah, its me." She smiled at me and I returned it.

~7 years later~
>Ashes' POV

"Argh! I've missed you both so much!" Mikey exclaimed as he picked up Kasey and James. They giggled in his arms and he kissed their cheeks as he smiled widely at the young girl and boy in his arms.

"So, have you guys been good while I've been gone?" He asked, smirking at them and smiling lovingly at me. I nodded, "Of course they were, weren't you, kids?" I asked and they nodded and told him all about their adventures.

I smiled as I sat down in the easy chair and listened. Let me explain, so you aren't as confused.

After we graduated high school, Claire and Gerard got married. They have a 6 year old daughter named Chloe. As for Frank, he met the love of his life on tour and married her a year later. They now have twins on the way and couldn't be happier. Ray met his fiancée at a party and they're getting married next month.

And now, Mikey and I. We got married a couple months after Gerard and Claire and had Kasey in December of that year. She'll be seven this year, which is kinda weird. We had James a year after Kasey. He was born in September and will be six in a few days. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by.

Once the kids told Mikey all about their adventures, they went up to their play room to play (obviously). He smiled over at me and sighed happily. "They're a handful, aren't they?" He asked and I nodded, laughing lightly. "Yeah, but I wouldn't trade it for the world." He nodded, "Same here."

"So," he said, walking over to where I was sitting. He picked me up and sat down before setting me in his lap. "What have you been up to?" He finished his sentence. I shrugged and leaned my head against his shoulder, "I've missed you. Mostly thought about how lucky I am and how glad I am I convinced my mom to bring me back to Jersey seven years ago." He smiled, "I'm glad too, otherwise I wouldn't have any of this. I love you, Ashes."

"I love you too, Mikey."
