Chapter 1: Where It All Began

Jennifer Ramirez is an incoming freshmen who is 13 years old, just trying to get away from her shitty life. However, her life wasn't always horrible. It all started when her brother died because he drank away his problems. After the funeral she noticed a change in her family, her sister seemed to lose her sanity slowly but eventually she was too far down. Now her sister Lauren in an asylum for the criminally insane. She killed a man for a reason no one truly knows. Her mother changed the most... she was loving, caring, and an amazing mother at one point in her life, she doesn't remember her mother like that. Unfortunately her mother would beat her until she couldn't feel pain anymore. Her father was far worse. He came home drunk every night, beat her mother, then he saved his worst for last. She would be so badly beaten up that she would go days before she awoke from her sleep. Eventually her parents were arrested on many charges and she was placed in foster care. That's where she is now Lancaster, New York. Broken as can be yet smiling to hide her pain, but she doesn't know that that's what's breaking her even more.

Ronald Sanchez soon to be sophomore who is 14 years old. He's always had a perfect life, amazing parents, and was always happy. Yes he did have many girls falling for him, he never felt the same for them. Both his mother and father were loving and protecting, but every once in a while they would let him out to live his life. His life revolved around school, sleep, and food like every other teenager.

Will he be the one to piece back a broken girl or will he let a broken girl finally leave her miserable life behind?
