She wasn't always a monster, she was once an angel but a darkness engulfed her until all the good she held in her tiny frame was gone.

You might say that that darkness was a monster too, taking the purity that resides within ones heart and soul. Though some can see others are left in the dark. Believing that monsters are angels that could not harm a mere hair on ones head.

The change was almost invisible. Only little  by little did her wings start to fade, it was thought to be her ageing. But we were wrong.

That's when the angel fell becoming a monster that terrorised the people she loved, slowly she was tarnishing the purity of others. Losing trust. Losing love.

The monster found it difficult to change, so she stayed as she was. How can a monster change once their wings have been ripped from their backs and they've been left with their mind drowning in darkness? Can they?

The monster has two sides one for those who cannot see and one for those who can. Countlessly I am fooled believing that she has changed but then she again shows her true form. But no matter what I know I'll fall into her web of lies and become stuck and only when her darkness shines through will I become free.

I do love the monster but there is only so much darkness one can take before their own light fades into nothing but bottomless black.

I know I'll still try to forgive and forget. Forgetting is impossible when the memories haunt me and make my thoughts impure.

No matter what though I'll love my monster until wings sprout from her back and her life is filled with light again.

I just need to help her find it.
