Reaching

Crap.

The alarm buzzed loudly like a crow dying a painful death, as it had done for the past three years. Sam groggily sat up from her bed and shut it off before laying back down under the warmth of her tattered comforter. After a  few more times of fading from partial sleep and groaning Sam finally got up from her bed and turned on her lamp, lighting up her room. It had a small dresser, closet, table, and one of those big, black,chunky tv's people from the 90s and really early 2000s had. There were also a few boxes in the corner of her simple room. Sighing and going to the closet to grab a Peirce The Veil t-shirt and a black snapback cap with the words "WEIRDO" stiched backwards into the front. Pulling the shirt on and setting the cap on the top of the tv, she went to her dresser and grabbed a pair of black, ripped jeans. Sam slid them over her pail legs and then sat down on the floor. She pulled a small box from her small table her tv sat on and got the eyeliner and quickly put it on her eyes. A few minutes later of fixing her eyebrows and deciding what to do with her short brownish-blonde hair, she was ready to go. The cap was placed tightly on her head and she walked out of her room and into the living room.

"Have a nice first day at school." Her mom said as she smiled and got ready for work. Sam slid on her worn converses and walked out the door towards the bus stop. The yellow bucket finally pulled up and Sam got in, sitting in one of the front seats. She put her earbuds on and listened to 'Hold on Til May'

The bus rolled up to the school and Sam filed out with everyone else. She had her schedule with her, as well as a small map of where to go, her mom had went to school there when she was younger and knew the place by heart. Sam walked down the hall and into her first class, where she was met with a room of unfamiliar faces, staring at her as if she was a new spectacle in a store. 'Crap.' Was all that came to Sam's mind. 'Crap.'
