I'm beginning my story with the ending of another. Well, maybe not an ending. More of the time between publishing of one book and it's sequel. But its not a sequel. The fanfic of the original story? Nah, I'll stick with the first one. My name is Landry Tako, and I am going to be something great.

6 years have pasted since my time with my friends and the Celestial War. I was 29 at the time, roughly 15 in orc perspective. I served as a leader to a rebel camp of non human creatures in the woods and as a diplomat to the surrounding kingdoms. I worked along side many admirable people. To name a few I must mention;

Andrew; a wonderful inventor who also went by the name of Spectra Energy. A simple but brave man who treated me very well in a time where I was rejected by most. Being a very gay and nurturing figure in my life. He has since been missing and presumed dead or in another world. No one has heard from him.

Farren and Wallace ; a stunning, fiery woman and her angsty now husband. At times we did not get along but that is the past now. They live a few house down from me in the city of Littoral.

Now her majesty, Queen Beatrice; a quiet, soft spoken but determined girl who know reigns in what used to be the corrupted Imperial City. During her reign, monster and human alike live together harmoniously. People are free to come and go and the world prospers.

Rasmodious; a dragon born with a soft heart. And my former room mate. He was sucked into an amulet with his Celestial boyfriend during the war and placed in a pocket dimension. The amulet is cracked And the portal is closed, trapping them forever. I wear them around my neck and hope to someday release them.

Jacks; My closest friend and the closest thing I have to family. He is a young demon, pale as the pages in a new book. He has been around for over a hundred years but is still an angsty child. He was originally under Andrews care, but since his disappearance Jacks has stayed with me. We had many grand adventures in the past. But with everything I've seen and owned, he has become the most treasured thing in my life.

And finally, a man I can only consider a father like figure after everything he did for me, the small and mighty William. One eye, blond curls, and a calm demeanor. He supported me, stood by me and helped me in the best and worse times. During the heat of fighting, our ways separated. I was informed after the fact that he had a run in with an enemy at the time called Shawn. After the fighting I gathered my camp and we combed the forest searching for him. we hunted fir weeks, but he was never found. It is presumed he was killed by Shawn and I will never see him again. I don't believe that. I know he's still out there.

During the last 6 years, I've disbanded the camp to be free to live as they please. Some of those who remained in Littoral still regard me as a leader and treat me with high honors. I hardly feel as though I deserve it. The entire town recognized us all as heros and we were awarded as such. My house was enlarged to accommodate me (Being 9"5' I now own the largest house in town). As heros we all were given a large fortune that should last us our lives. As an orc it could only last a fraction of mine, but I appreciate it none the less.

I still go about daily looking for work however, trying to be helpful in any way I can. I wake up early to help clean the streets and set up the market for the day. carrying crates and other heavy objects is nothing and I'm discounted when I go to buy food. Around noon I go to the orphanage, a place still very dear to me after all this time, and play with the children. I lift them above my head and spin them and play games and tell them the stories of the camp, the war, and my friends. My memory is limited however, because I only have  these years. The time before it all happened is lost to me, and no physician I've met with can tell me why. After entertaining the lost children, who much like me don't know where they came from but still look forwards, I retreat to the comfort of my home or the library to read and study.

I've become very educated in most subjects and a mediocre spell caster. I know a few cantrips and spells and such, but nothing exceptionally useful. It's more of a hobby is anything. And in the fall i teach the kids.

Once a month Jacks and I go to Farren's home for dinner and to discuss our lives to this point. They live in a grand yet simple way, if that's possible. They are very content with how they are.

 Jacks is free to come and go as he pleases and with his mood swings, this can be very frequent. When he's not home, I tend to be out more. But when he's back we stay in and talk. Or we go outside the city to the river and swim or have a picnic. Or we walk through the woods. Just something to get away. He will never fail to comment on my weird or quirky character istics with that smirk on his face. I find it very comforting that we don't change.He still has the mind of a teenager and I do too. We agree it's funny how we age so slowly our minds just can't keep up. I'm 35 now and barely qualify as  a 17 year old orc. I have yet to meet another half or , or to be honest any orcs at all. My research says we were some of the first to be driven away. I suppose we never got around to coming back.

I tried my hand at love for a while upon my return. There was a beautiful farm girl I had my eye on for some time. But beauty can't make up for lack of character. 6 months into our heated fling that begun almost as soon as the war was over, I found I wasn't in love with her but more what she was giving me. It took me longer to relize that my status of hero was misleading, I hadn't done enough great or even good deeds yet. But women would flock to that title with empty affection. When you could have any man or woman of your choosing, it becomes hard to love why you have. So I've given up on finding someone, at least finding them here. I want to love a person, not an empty shell trying to latch on to something.

And this has been my life for the last 6 years. Occasionally grabbing my axe to train and stay in shape but there's no reason for it here. The world's at peace, everyone's content. Why do I feel like I'm missing something? Where is William and Andrew? Where did I come from and what happened to me? Why does it feel so wrong to just stay here?

Because I'm not supposed to stay still. I have to go out and explore, be adventurous, make a difference. I need to earn a title of a hero.

So I'm leaving this afternoon, accompanied by Jacks. I've brought with me plenty of food, my axe, a few demon skulls, my amulet, my spell book, a map, some rope and some rocks ,and finally a trinket of the goddess I bought from the shop all those years ago. We set off today, biding our home fair well, as we have no idea when we will see it again. But we are off on an adventure. And I haven't felt this happy in 6 years.
