Chapter One "The Beginning"

INTRODUCTION

My Name is Arabella, I have four people In my family counting me and my dad, Matilda my mother who died giving birth to me. I'm 17 years old and have long brown hair. I have a older brother named Thomas, and my dad Walter. I have a bestfriend named Isabel. I have a boyfriend his name is William and my brother is alway looking out for me, so he doesn't like him at all. After my mom died it was hard making as much money in the bakery (we're baker's). If we don't get enough money we would have to sell our shop, and I will do everything in my power so that doesn't happen because the bakery is our job and we need it to survive. I have a secret with my boyfriend that we don't tell anyone about until we try to use the secret to save the bakery.

Chapter one "The beginning"

"Arabella!!!" "Stop daydreaming and get the bread out of the oven before it burns,"

"Sorry, Dad!" I yelled back at my father in the other room. I was looking at someone in the road that's why I wasn't paying much attention to cooking. Through the day, less and less people came in to buy stuff from our store, we needed money and fast, if we didn't have enough money we would have to sell our shop and get different jobs and my father and brother are passionate about cooking and baking.

As I watched to hours passed by I slowly noticed something, a strange man the man I saw earlier in front of the store with an ax in hand right in front of our store and he stayed there for at least an hour or two then he left. He was strange he was sitting there like he was waiting for someone and only moved a few times before he left. It was almost time to close when my best friend Isabel walked in. Me and Isabel we were going with William (my boyfriend) and Rowan (Isabel's boyfriend) to a jousting match.

Before my friend Isabel and I go to the jousting match we go shopping. I need some ingredients for our shop and she needed some silk, and leather she makes dresses for a living, like how I bake for a living. I looked over at my father.

"Go, get the materials we need for a week, then your work hours are done so you can have a few hours to do whatever you what but come back before sunset," my father told me I hugged him and left with Isabel.

That day at the market it was full of people. It was hard walking through the crowd of people me and Isabel went to the fabric shop first. We looked at many different designs they all looked amazing but Isabel could only get an exact kind of fabric. I got my ingredients and we started walking home. When we started walking we noticed that a lot of people had already left.

When we got back to the shop William and Rowan were waiting there with my overprotective brother Thomas. William and I hugged and I said goodbye to my brother who clearly did not like that I hugged William and we went to the jousting match. As we walked there we talked, I told them about the strange man in front of our store. They all said it was strange then we all joked about the incident.

Then we got to the jousting arena and all the people I knew were there too. The King and Queen came and the court as they came we all bowed/curtsied. Then the Knights came out and only one new person came out, but as a new Knight something was different he looked like someone I knew or someone I've seen before. Then it hit me it was the man outside the bakery; I told my friend but she told me that it couldn't be him and that I was just having crazy thoughts.

Then the king stood up and said a few words and the queen told everyone the rules. Then the king yelled Begin and they began.

"Crash" the lances (the sticks) they use to try to knock each other off with just broke up against the opponent's shield. The guy that I saw before was on our side and he was winning. His name was Knight Henry.
