There he was leaning against his jet black cadillac, a lit cigarette between his plump, rosy lips, his curls caressing his perfect face. He was tall and muscular. His ray bans covering his perfect emerald eyes and his lanky, yet perfect legs, were crossed one over the other. The way he flipped his hair back was insanely sexy and the way he would lick his lips and bite his lip ring after exhaling the puff of smoke took my breath away. His tattooed arms and the rings he wore on his fingers looked so fucking good on him. He was every girls weakness but for me, it was nothing but a dream. His lifestyle was nothing like mine and his reputation wasn't the best. I knew I shouldn't even be interested im someone like Harry, which I wasn't, I was simply intrigued by his persona, but even that is risky. I mean he was smoking on campus and thats bad enough.

"SOPHIE!!!"

I jerked my head towards the noise.

"Stop staring at him, it's creepy! And Harry is no good for you babe. We all know about that one." Chloe said fixing her mascara in the rearview mirror.
Chloe had been my best friend for 5 years. She was a beauty queen compared to me. She had long blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. She was thin and had curves in the right places. Everyone at school knew her and she was pretty much well-known and popular. Oh, and she had a royal blue BMW which was my dream car.

"I mean you're dating Harry's best friend, same shit. Anyway I don't like Harry so I don't need any advice on him. I'll be fine" I replied.
"Well yeah ... But... I guess you're right. But Michael is nothing like Harry"
I rolled my eyes and refrained from going on with what could turn into an argument.

"Can we just go home Chlo?"

"Geez someone's mad" She laughed putting away her mascara and starting the car.

"I'm not mad" I looked out the window and watched Harry as we slowly drove past him.
I was so glad senior year was almost over cause then summer would be here and I wouldn't see Harry as often. That way he couldn't fuck with my emotions.

The rest of the drive home was quiet, it almost made me uncomfortable.

"Thanks Chlo, see ya tomorrow!" I said exiting her car.

"Bye babe, be good and stop getting so upset when I try to tell you things!" She giggled.

"Ugh! I wasn't mad I swear" I said walking away from her car and towards my front door.

She drove off.

Mom was never home. She was mainly home on the weekends. When I went to bed she got home and by the time I was ready for school she was already gone. It was almost like I lived alone. My father was non-existant. I have a few memories with my dad and I know he was there for a good portion of my life but all of a sudden he stopped coming home. Mom told me that he had passed away in an accident when I was 5. I always wondered what it would be like if dad was here. Maybe he would listen to me and give me advice as mum never did.

I walked into the living room and picked up the photo of my parents from the tv stand. They were in college back then. My mother had long, curly, brown hair with curtain bangs. My father had short platinum blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. They were complete opposites physically. I wondered what my father would be like. Would we have the same personality? Would he have been there to support me through school? I never really had anyone to rely on, other than Chloe. So the thought of my father MAYBE being there for me made me emotional.
Sigh.

I snapped out of my thoughts and dropped my bag on the couch. I was starving. I went in the fridge to find something to eat. Nothing. I let out a deep breath.

"Damn." I said to myself .

I grabbed my bag and went upstairs to my room. I threw it in the closet, grabbed my car keys and ran back down and out the door. I was hungry. I decided I would go try out the new place down the street.

I hopped in my old ass car and drove off.

When I arrived, I parked in front of the building to get a better look at the people that were in there and how the place was laid out. It had a vintagey vibe and I loved it.

"Zee's Brewery"

I ejected my car and made my way into the café. The sight of the burlesque lights framing the small stage, at the very back of the café, that spelled out "Zee's Brewery" were captivating. Very old-fashion but modern at the same time. I watched the baristas to my left going back and forth trying to make the orders. The bar began near the door and ended almost at the back of the place. It was beautiful.

"Sophie!" Chloe waved. I looked up and saw her at a table at the far back. I was starting to get self conscious about how fucking dumb I must have looked just standing there like id never seen a fucking cafe before. Chloe wasn't alone but I couldn't quite make out who it was. My anxiety is starting to kick in and I'm not sure if I wanna be here anymore. I waved back and politely smiled.

"Come here." She mouthed signaling for me to go to her. It took me some time to figure out what I was going to do but I decided to listen.
As I got closer, I knew the guy next to her was Michael, her boyfriend, but I didn't know the other guy. He was very handsome.

"Soph!! This is Zayn, he's Harrys roomate, Michael's friend and his dad owns this joint" She explained.
"Hi, nice to meet you." I smiled and took a seat.

"Nice to meet you too." He replied with a pearly smile. I couldn't help but notice his tatted arms. They were completely covered in ink. I had never seen this man before. He wore a black leather jacket with a white tee underneath, low enough to where I could peek at his chest tattoo. It was quite a work of art.
I'd been sitting here for what seemed to be hours just analyzing the man and not saying a word. This is weird. They probably think I'm insane. I pushed all the anxiety in me to who knows where and I turned to Zayn.

"So um... Do you live around here? I don't think I've ever seen you before." I interrogated.
"Oh! She talks." Michael teased. As they all giggled along to what he thought was a joke.
Chloe nudged him, urging him to stop, solely using eye contact.
I rolled my eyes at Michael "Whatever dude" I replied.
"Anyways, yeah I live a few blocks down with Harry, i'm sure you know him." Zayn replied.

I nodded.

"And well my dad doesn't live here but he thought since I go to college in town I could help keep everything organized around, which is why he decided to open up the brewery here." He explained.

"Interesting." I smiled. "Well, in that case you're doing a great job, this place is amazing!"

After we got our drinks and mingled, I decided it was time for me to go home and get some sleep.
