Chapter 1

Maddison's POV

After finding my confidence again—that she shattered completely with that stunt I pulled—I made my way to the other side of the room.

Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay nang makita kong para siyang naiiyak. Wala na 'yung mataray at mapaglaro'ng aura niya kanina, wala na din 'yung smirk niya at napalitan 'yun ng mga luha.

Bigla kong nahigit ang hininga ko saka napatulala sa kanya.

Kanina, naisip kong maganda na siya but now, that I'm seeing her cry, I think she's more than that. I'm seeing an angel cry in front of me and I don't know; it makes me want to cry too. I want to protect her for no reason and that's bothering me.

"Georgie..."

I cleared my throat to gain her attention, she attentively wiped her tears when she—finally—noticed me standing in front of her. Umayos siya ng tayo at tumikhim din, sinubukan niya pang hagurin ang buhok at damit niyang nalukot.

"So, who are you again? For all I know, you could be a serial killer and I'm letting you here."

Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay—bitch, mas maganda naman ng kilay ko kesa sa'yo—saka nagcross-arms.

"Well, it'll be your fault for being stupid; you couldn't identify a person before you let them visit your cousin."

And she's definitely right. But I won't admit it to her face.

I scoffed and stomped my feet at the ground. She's genuinely amused with my—sad to say—childishness and I can't help blushing.

Damn it!

Biglang nagbukas ang pinto kaya napatingin kaming dalawa doon at nakita namin sina Tita Tracy at Tito Edward, parents ni George.

(A/N: Yey, nalaman ko na napangalanan ko na pala 'yung mommy ni George kaya naisip ko na huwag ko nang palitan. Bali, Tracy Antoinette Belmonte ang full name ng mommy ni Georgie at nagdedepends sa taong tumatawag kung ano ang itatawag niya kay Tracy. Sa case ni Mad, Tracy at Antoinette ang tawag niya sa tita niya. Sana hindi kayo nalito, hehehhe...)

Parang nagmamadali pa si Tita Tracy tapos pagkakita sa amin—more on sa kasama ko lang—ay ngumiti siya ng malaki. Tita acknowledges me first by hugging me then move on to the girl by hugging her so tight, I could imagine her tiny bones crashing.

I swear; Tita Tracy could kill you by giving a hug.

"Maddison..."

"Good morning, Tito."

Tumango lang siya at nginitian ako. Tapos pumunta siya doon sa pwesto ng babae at ni tita na nagbabatian na.

Wait, ibig sabihin magkakakilala sila? Bakit di ko alam?!

"Oh my gods, Ana, you've grown beautiful. If ever you're parents are still here, I know they'll be proud of what you had accomplished in such early age."
