Hey there! This is something new that my brain threw out me, and I wanted to try it. 😃
This is basically an xReader of a personified version of the cultural phenomena of "vaporwave." I would call it a music genre, but it's also an art form and a fashion style as well. 😜
You don't have to listen to vaporwave as you read, but you can if you want to 😁
So, please enjoy my little idea! 🤗
Also, when our man of interest comes around, if you know who Cr1tikal is, basically, that's how I hear his voice as, so just think of him 😅
Also also, I'm trying my best to make this gender-neutral, so anyone can read! 😉
Okay, let's get on with the show! 😊

It's another busy morning as the streets of the city of Lupphis drink their coffee and wire their business brains to their business jobs in their business lives. You don't know anyone who doesn't drink coffee in this town, including yourself and your pet cat, Mallow. Mallow loves coffee, and you give her a little bit out of your cup whenever you make it in your Keurig, which is just about once a week. While you do drink coffee, you prefer hot tea over it more. You find it more soothing and a more calming way to wake up. You only drink coffee when you can hardly bring yourself to move around.
Today was a coffee day. Light seared through the window, lighting up the white room bright. You drug yourself out of bed only when the song you currently had your alarm set to was finished. Usually, you could get up around halfway through it, but this morning, your body thought otherwise.
You liked music you could move to, music that you could feel. These usually were nice remixes of songs that got more traction remixed than original. It was pretty good stuff.
When the song ended, you forcibly got yourself up from your bed. You stretched a little, yawning, before walking over to your closet, whose doors were always opened. You peered inside for your attire today. You saw an emotionless white t-shirt and black sweatpants. Comfy enough. It was the springtime, and you didn't need anything too heavy, but something light could still leave you cold. You took the t-shirt and the sweatpants out from the closet, taking the hangers out and then putting them back in the closet, before trotting over your beige carpeted floor in your bare white room to the bathroom across from your modern white bed.
You took care of the necessities, such as fixing your hair and cleaning your teeth, before taking off your nighttime attire and putting on suitable work clothes. After your clothes were on, you took a spritz of your favorite fragrance before heading out of your bathroom, turning the lights off, going through your bedroom, and reaching the living room and open kitchen of your ground-floor spacious apartment.
Mallow was asleep in her bed next to the couch near the kitchen and facing the TV. You walked over to the space between the couch and the granite island countertops and looked to your left out of the big window to your view of the apartment complex's complementary pool. Considering that it was located in a high-end establishment, the pool was spacious and clear, usually happily taken advantage of by the children some of the tenants had, screaming and bursting with energy in late spring afternoons and long into the hours of summer. However, at this moment, the air was too brisk for those activities, and it was much too early anyways for any schoolchildren to be able to use it. Besides, you didn't have any children and you didn't enjoy swimming in public, so to you, the existence of the pool served as something to contemplate or something to simply observe.
You walked on into your kitchen area and turned on the Keurig on the countertop. As it was warming up, you sifted through the K-Cups in the basket adjacent for a coffee hidden amongst the tea. You eventually found a regular Donut Shop one. This flavor was alright. The Keurig was finished heating up by now, so you grabbed a mug from the cabinet above that had a pretty floral pattern on it and set it on the tray. You opened the Keurig up and took out the old K-Cup and tossed it in the little wastebasket next to you, half-full of similar articles of interest and put the new one into the slot before shutting the Keurig closed and selecting the biggest size cup available.
The coffee machine quietly gurgled and hummed as it made your cup of coffee. In the meantime, you studied your quiet, gentle, black and white cat, snoozing on its designated pillow. Mallow was a sweet little girl, who was very clean and very polite to anyone who visited your apartment. Since you usually didn't have a lot of company, Mallow happily filled in the social interaction you needed at times.
The machine stopped humming, which indicated that your coffee was ready. You reached and grabbed the floral mug, lifting it to your nose and taking in the smell. It was nothing to rave over, but it was what you needed this morning. You set the coffee back on the countertop and then went over to your sleek, metallic refrigerator, opening it up and taking out the vanilla-flavored creamer. You closed the door, and then went over to your mug of coffee and poured in the creamer for a couple seconds before setting it down, opening the drawer in the counter below the Keurig, and taking out a spoon. You hummed TRNDSTTR as you stirred it a bit.
As you put your spoon in the sink, you heard a quiet mew. Looking to your left, you noticed Mallow was standing up and stretching. She must've woken up to the noise and smell of coffee. You smiled a bit and picked up your mug. You walked over to Mallow's food, water, and coffee bowls, stooped down, and poured a little bit of the coffee into the designated bowl. Setting the mug down, you took the bag of dry cat food that sat next to Mallow's bowls and filled up the bowl for the morning and afternoon. Mallow didn't drink water as often, so the water dish was still okay to be left alone.
You picked your mug back up and wanted to check the time when realized you left your phone in your room. You strode back to your room and picked up your phone from the nightstand. It was 8:24. The office was a 10 minute walk away, and since yours opened at 9:00, you could still take your time getting over.
You worked as a professional chiropractor, helping people to relieve pain in their joints and sometimes informing them on what was wrong with their joints and what they could do to help themselves. It had pretty low stress, considering everyone, including yourself, was relaxed and you knew that you didn't really need to worry about anything breaking down or suddenly losing everything you had. Work was steady, as the businesspeople on their off days would come in and seek relief, usually in their hips, spine, or wrists. You also had a great reputation among the workforce, as gossip and tips spread like wildfire in this town. You even had a few regulars who were always pleased with your work. To top it all off, you made quite a killing with your services. You honestly were living a dream.
You sat at your kitchen table, quietly sipping at your coffee and studying Mallow. She stretched this way and that before licking her fur, keeping it spotless like usual. Soon enough, your coffee was polished off, and you got up and put the mug in the sink before heading to the front door, where you took your sandals and sat on the floor to put them on. You really didn't like keeping your feet enclosed, so you took every opportunity you could to not wear closed-toe shoes.
You stood up and took your suitcase, which was next to the door. You kept a suitcase around with you so you could keep important documents, records, and bills with you whenever you may need it without running back to your office. You took it when you went to work and when you went home.
"Bye, Mallow!" You called behind you as you opened the door. Mallow was now licking up the coffee in her special bowl. You could be sure that you heard her purring from across the room as you went outside and shut the door.
