Caroline's POV

"Welcome To Junk'n Stuff!" The halls rang with a familiar jingle. My brother Rusty was sitting at the counter looking positively bored. It was my mission to sneak to the scarp yard without my father seeing. It was not an easy task for me because I was a known  escape artists. Every minute I wasted in this store was a minute I lost to inventing.

I tip toed though a crowd of deal hunger animals. "Caroline?" I heard a friendly voice. My father's voice would of been full of rage.

I turned around and saw my best friend Marshall. "Oh Hey Marshall." I squatted behind an old barrel.
"Caroline?" He looked worried. "I don't even want to know."

I dragged him down to the floor with me.
"Help me get to the scrap yard." I whispered.
"What's in it for me?" I gave Marshall the death stare.
"You get to live another day." I grinned.
Marshall rolled his eyes.
"The old man got coupons!"Marshall screamed to the heavens.

With that the savage animals attacked my father and I was free. I grabbed my invention book on my way out. I started to look through it.

Marshall soon followed. "Don't ya think we need to get your brother?"

"Leave him he can handle himself." I crumbled up a piece of paper.
"What was that?" Marshall picked up my trash.
"Nothing." I sighed. It was another failed experiment to go with the hundred others.

"Well, to me it looks like your 'Super Tie Your Tries' machine." Marshall put on a fancy southern accent.
"Marshall do you think I'm good at inventing?" I whipped a tear away.
"Of course you are ,you're Caroline." Marshall tried to smile.
"You should go home you look tired." I felt terrible myself, but in times of trouble it's better to do something you like to hide the pain then to face the fact your a failure and "Welcome to Junk'n Stuff" will be on your tombstone cause that's all people will know you as ;the old lady the worked at Junk'n Stuff.

Marshall yawned. "Yeah, I had an eventful day."

As me and Marshall parted Marshall yealled. "Your going to make us all pride one day!" I smiled.
