For Some Of Us

For some of us,

We ask a question,

Will we love again?

For some of us,

We've been hurt,

We've grown cold.

For some of us,

Someone toyed with our love

And now,

We risk never feeling again.

For some of us,

We made ourselves unloving,

We no longer wish to feel,

It's enough...

To make you cold as ice.

For some of us,

We've turned our hearts into a iceberg that won't ever move,

We untouchable,

We don't allow our hearts to be vulnerable.

For some of us,

Things can't never change,

We won't allow anyone to look upon what we truly are.

We know we're loving creatures,

But we also can hate,

But if we are ice,

Who can hurt us?

For some of us,

It takes one person,

To thaw our hearts,

We will melt that barrier,

And we'll let them see what we truly are.

For some of us,

It takes another to make you learn to love again,

It takes another to make you thaw your iceberg of a heart,

For some of us,

Sometimes...

It takes someone coming out of the woodwork,

Someone you never expected,

Someone who makes your eyes glitter again,

And your heart feel warm!

For some of us,

It took someone who has been hurt horribly before,

So they can relate,

So you can thaw together,

So you can heal as one,

So you can bond in that special thing,

That is called love.

For some of us,

We thought it would never again happen,

But you saw me through,

We both learned what is is to love again,

And feel emotion that has not been for a long time.

For some of us,

It took two hurting hearts,

But we learned together,

Now we love again,

And will never do it part,

We have learned.
