The Emerald Cove is a small port town with only a few inhabitants surrounded by dense forestry with its own inhabitants some never seen by the citizens of the EC. We start our story on the outskirts of town nearest the forest. There is a small farm containing carrots, potatoes, watermelons and many other forms of produce grown to feed the town. Just beside the field of food is a wooden windmill which holds crates of stocked up food. Beside the windmill is a barn which holds cows, chickens, and pigs, but it also happens to be where the farmers live. One of the farmers is Marie Ramaerd. She is a dark skinned girls with orangey red hair and blue eyes. She works the farm with her brother, Chris Ramaerd whose hair is the same color but the sides are shaved and the top is long, hanging down the right side of his head. Marie is a very sweet girl though she doesn't talk to people very often and Chris does not particularly care for most people, especially those who use magic. He is very standoffish to say the least.

Next door to them, to the right of the small field, is a little camp surrounded by hedges with a teepee in the back corner. Near it is two apiaries for bees and a little closer to the entrance is a small pond surrounded by flowers. The owner of this wonderful place is a woman named Adeline Roselli. She is a thin girl with shoulder length, blonde hair. She wears blue flats with straps that go a little way up her ankles. Her leggings are a dark brown color. Her top is a lighter brown that goes down to her mid calf with slits up to her hips on both sides and a hood which is usually down. She's quiet and distant from most people, which is why she lives so far from town. She is one of the towns magic users. She's a which who has the ability to talk to the dead.

The day is overcast and a cool breeze blows across the trees. Adeline walks over and gives the door of the barn a couple of knocks. To her surprise, Chris answers. He doesn't looks bothered by her but not really thrilled about her presence. "Can I help you?" He asks kind of normally. He has no real reason to be rude to Adeline considering she's never been mean to him and he's attempting to not be bothered by the magic users of this new place. "Hello, Chris." Adeline says with her usual light monotone and faint smile with caring blue eyes " I was wondering if I might be able to buy some vegetables from you. I'm making a rabbit, also Jane asked me to grab some since her and Ivana won't have time to come out here this week and the tavern needs some vegetables." Chris steps out and closes the door. "I'm sure I could help you since Marie is busy. Follow me." Chris leads the way to the windmill "Do you need a basket?"  "Yes please." Adeline replied, sitting on one of the empty crates while Chris gathers some potatoes and various other vegetables. After a moment, he finishes and holds the basket out to her. "Thank you." She holds out a pouch of gold and takes the basket. "No problem." Chris says, pocketing the gold. "I don't eat very much but I'm making a rabbit for dinner tonight, would you like for me to bring by what's leftover for you and Marie?" Adeline asks. "That'd be nice, it gets pretty tiring having to cook every meal."  "Alright, I'll be by later to give it to you." Adeline turns and walks away towards her camp while Chris turns to walk back to the barn.

Later that afternoon, Adeline floats over to the barn with a covered pot, resting it on the doorstep and knocking on the door before floating back to her camp. Chris opens the door to no one standing there but sees the pot. He picks it up and takes it inside.
