Run

Run. The only thing that comes to mind.

Run. The only thing I have been able to do lately.

Run. From everyone and everything; Hunters..., monster..., even my own family.

Run. Longer, faster.

I wish I could stop running. J-just end everything.

"Then why don't you?" For once in a long time, I stopped.  

I didn't know how to respond. Was this a voice in my head or was someone actually talking to me. "W-who's there?" If someone was really talking to me then, how did they know what I was thinking?

"Why don't you stop running? I did. No one bothers me...anymore."

Who is this? This can't just be a voice in my head. Someone is really talking to me. "Show yourself. Who are you?" After I said that I knew I would regret those words.

A giant beast steps out from the shadows with a grin on his face. He's- he's terrifying, with his long black and dark blue fur, his razor sharp claws, and his huge sharp fangs. He is nothing like I have ever seen before and for running for a century and a half, I have seen every creature known to man. Afraid to even ask I said "What are you?" But it wasn't the question I was afraid of it was the answer.

In a deep, low growl the beast says "I am a Dawra. A creature feared by all other creatures. A beast bigger than any known to man. I am the monster that will give your nightmares, nightmares. You shall respect me."

Respect him or it or whatever it is? Hell yeah I'm going to respect it. I don't know what that thing is capable of. It could kill me faster than the hunters. Speaking of hunters, I better be moving they could catch up any minute. Without a word I start running again, but not far behind was the Dawra. Knowing that if I stop again the hunters will surely catch up I keep running. Not worried that the Dawra might be chasing me to kill me, like everything else.

A loud roar echoes through the woods and continues ringing in my ears. My first though was 'Did the hunters catch the Dawra? Was it roaring for help?' But then I heard screams. What is happening?
