INARI - My Familiar
Inari is a morphic fox. Her coat colors shift to represent situations and results, usually with glowing white or pale yellow eyes. In times of great trouble, her coat is blurred into a mesmerizing pure white. Apparently she appears in all my dreams, usually hidden in symbolism, but will show herself in full as needed. She tends to wander through minds and appear in other people's dreams besides mine - friends, family, nearby strangers, ect. She is found revealing truth and ending suffering, especially finding meaning in nightmares. In Japanese mythology Inari is a rice goddess that represents prosperity and success, who's messengers are white foxes. It's unclear whether there's a connection there or not, but I assume not.
MALIS - The Stag
Malis is a leader type, almost always the one carrying some sort of verbal message, and unfortunately always seeming to bare the brunt of the gore. He's a gigantic beast of a buck, but looks much like a whitetail and mule deer hybrid. His antlers have an almost elk like silhouette, and are ridiculously large, yet with a thin elegancy. He is my friend's familiar, and has appeared to her through daydreams and meditation. We are unsure of why his name is what it is, as we have only just learned of it. I would guess it is only a name and nothing more, as his character holds no negative connotations.
THE WEASEL
We have no name for the weasel, who is in all technicalities a short tailed weasel (i.e. a stoat) and I have only just assumed that it is female. I know little about her character as she has rarely any defining moments in the dreams, however she is a pure and seemingly naive little creature, with a childish theme to her. She is my friend's little sister's familiar, that has only shown herself in vague symbolism.
THE CARDINAL
The cardinal also does not have a name, though I have a feeling we will learn it soon as he has appeared very frequently along side Inari. His feathers also seem to be morphic, though he usually features an ashen black color. He is a quizzical type with a great sense of urgency and anxiety in most situations, usually sticking alongside one of the other creatures as much as possible. He is my friend's partner's familiar, though we are unsure if he has shown himself to him yet as we have had no contact with this person for many months.
THE BOBCAT
Despite being a normal part of the group the bobcat has always held a very negative energy in all the dreams, usually a main staple of any issues or terrors, and has held the most metaphorical messages in our recent interpretations. This makes sense considering the human in which she represents is quite similar - a negative, despite her friendship with us. She, like the stag, tends to face a certain amount of gore and violence. Her coat is a greyed tawny color, spots dulled, with a very thin and gaunt body shape. Her eyes are almost always black. We do not know where else she has shown herself as this particular person has always refused to speak of things like this. She is my friend's friend's familiar.
These will be updated as more information becomes available - mainly, names. Through ouija questions with our spirit guards, intense mediation, tarot readings, and of course dreams, I hope to learn everything I can to make interpreting these messages easier on all of us.
