/Chapter One/ /Abandoned at Devore's House/ /Mrs. Devore's POV/

I was walking towards the stairs to go downstairs, when my husband Dave called out that someone was at the door. I hurried as fast as I could to get to the door. I open the door to find no one standing there. I looked around to make sure that no one was hiding any where on the porch. Soon as I was about to shut the door completely closed, I heard a baby crying on the other side of the door.

I opened the door back open, and saw a small and fragile baby wrapped up in a blanket inside of a basket. I noticed the note too. Picking up the baby, I brought the baby inside to take care of the small, fragile baby. After setting down the baby on the counter top I read the note to see what it said.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Devore,

I know that y'all weren't inspecting this but I left Baby Lizzy with y'all because I know that y'all will take great care of Lizzy. I couldn't take care of Lizzy because I've been having money trouble here lately because my job hasn't been putting enough money on my pay check.

I understand that y'all have never taken care of a baby before, but can y'all please take care of Lizzy for me please. I love you very much.

                                                                                                                                                      Sincere----------------

I didn't get to find out who signed the note because it seems like someone bumped into the person writing, or the person writing did it on purpose. I want to know who left the baby at my front door.

"Debra, your friends are here to see you." Dave yelled from the front door.

"Ok. Tell them to come to the kitchen dear." I yelled back.

When my three best friends from work came into the kitchen, they gasped because they saw the small fragile baby on the counter top in my kitchen.

"Debra did you adopt this baby? Did someone leave the baby at your door? How did you find this baby?" They started asking all these questions so fast that I had to yell to get them to be quiet.

"I will tell you if y'all be quiet long enough for m to tell yall."I yelled.

That shut them up real quick

A little while later after everyone left, I started to give Lizzy a bath when I noticed that Lizzy had opened up a little bit to see that her eyes look exactly like mine. if they looked like mine then it must of been a family  member that dropped Lizzy off at my front door.

After I bathed and fed Lizzy she fell asleep quickly in my arms. I watched her for awhile before I went to bed with Lizzy right next to me. I think that Lizzy will grow up well in this house without getting an abortion.

3-4 hours later I woke up to Lizzy crying. I checked her diaper to make sure that she didn't pooped or peed her diaper. Well she did poop her diaper. I don't think that Dave is going to like having Lizzy inside the house. He probably wishes that her parents would come and get Lizzy. Dave has already started complaining about how Lizzy woke up crying in the middle of the night, and that we have to feed, bathe, and change Lizzy.

"All this baby crap is to hard, I don't see how yall do this crap. I'm giving up. You can take care of the crappy baby. I'm done." Dave said plopping down on the couch.

I got up went over to Dave and slapped the sure crap out of him.

"YOU DO NOT CALL LIZZY A PIECE OF CRAP, DAVE THE BIOLOGICAL PARENTS COULD NOT TAKE CARE OF HER. I ADVICE THAT YOU GET OFF YOUR LASY BUTT AND HELP ME TAKE CARE OF LIZZY." I yelled at him.

I slapped him again, because of how mad I was. I didn't want Dave to be a bad influence on that is now our daughter that we have to take care of now. I really love Lizzy, and I don't want her to be bullied by other kids or anyone be a bad influence.
