Angelica's wish~ (Short story)

I had to write a story about a picture (the cover photo) for school! I really liked the story, so I thought I'd post it.

So there was this man, named Jorge, and he had three kids and a wife. He was an astronaut!.... Well an astronaut in training at least. And today was his first day to go up in space!! Before he left home, his family all made him 'good luck breakfast'. Right before he left, his youngest child, Angelica, who was 7, said to him; "Please make something magical happen in the sky, while your in space!!", he smiled at this. Then Jorge left. All the way to work he thought of what Angelica had wished for. He got to work, and many people greeted him and told him to be careful on his first trip to the moon. He got the equipment and loaded it into the spaceship, with help from the others in their team. Then they all blasted off into space. It was so beautiful out there. Stars surrounded them, no matter which window they looked out. After a while they landed on the moon, all of them were very excited and nervous. Jorge was the most nervous out of everyone, because all the others on the team had at least gone to outer space. They finished their mission, then they all explored around a bit. Jorge went the farthest. He didn't think that he should have gone that far, so he started to head back to the ship. Just as he was about to, something caught his eye. It didn't look like the rest of the moon, it wasn't gray and rocky. It was brown, with a small rope..? He walked closer to it, he was so far away from the spaceship that if he turned around, he wouldn't be able to see it. But he was too curious to pay attention to that now. He kneeled down to take a closer look at the thing. It looked like a little plug, a cork, with a small rope attached. After a moment, he took the rope and pulled out the cork. As soon as he did, water rushed out of the moon. The water looked exactly like the moon's surface, gray with darker gray spots. Jorge backed away quickly, dumbfounded. More and more water gushed out, half of it started to fall towards earth, the other half spread across the moon. Jorge kept moving back, but didn't break eye contact with the water. It didn't seem like any of the others had heard the water, or seen it. As more and more water rushed out, like it was in a hurry, it grew closer and closer to the earth. Of course Jorge was very frightened that it could flood the earth, but he was too surprised to think straight and get the others. The water finally touched it, but earth was too far away for Jorge to see. But this little story isn't exactly from Jorge's perspective, so I'll just tell you what happened down on earth. That water hit a lake, it seemed like when it came closer to the earth, the water looked more normal. It poured into the lake. Back to Jorge! Jorge got home safely, when he did, Angelica was super happy to see him. His whole family was happy that he was home safely, but as soon as Jorge got home, Angelica asked if he did it. At first Jorge was confused, then she led him to a telescope they owned. Jorge peered through the telescope, and saw that the moon was pouring water into a lake. He was relieved, and amazed. Over the years, the rushing stream, that used to be a lake, had made a ravine. The water from the moon never stopped. And the water in the lake/stream never overflowed. THE END!
