Alistair was always a great friend and ally of Macbeth's. They grew up together living in Melrose, where there they find both of their higher callings in life; and it would be that they would both train, and eventually become knights.
They met when Macbeth's father was tasked with serving the King and being his right-hand man, although Macbeth never really know what that job entangled, as he never asked nor did he care at that age. Macbeth was 10 years of age when his father passed, and after that, the king placed Macbeth into his care and would raise him alongside Alistair.
Since that day, Macbeth and Alistair spent so much time together that in time they started to call each other brothers. Alistair never once wanted to boast as a child about his fortune, as he felt it would only have people look at him in a negative sense and he wasn't one to be egotistic. No, he was much greater than that. He was a man of bravery, and with that fear almost nothing that would go against him. The wisdom that would allow him to see the true rights and wrongs of the World and all the lines between. The ambition to set up a stable and fair kingdom with good people. And finally, grave loyalty to those who would give unto him grave loyalty.
