Gracie Dobrik's POV:
After a stressful couple of hours, your plane had finally landed at 9 pm. You heard your phone ping as you waited outside the airport.
A text popped up on the screen. Your uber was waiting for you. You see the car and drag your suitcase with you and climb in the back. You tell the man driving where you want to go. He nods and sets off.
28 minutes later...
You head into the elevator and punch in the floor you wanted to go to and wait. You walk along the corridor until you reach the door with the right number.
'Breath in Gracie,' you think to yourself while holding your hand up to the door. You knock shyly and hear footsteps at the other side. The door swings open and before you can see who opened it David throws his arms around you and you cling to him.
"Gracie! I missed you so much!" David exclaims.
"I missed you more, big bro" you reply.
David let's go and leads you into the apartment.
You see all of David's friends in the living room. Liza, Alex, Gabbie, Scotty, Toddy, Heath, Zane and even Elton. David introduced you to everyone as it was your first time visiting him. He mentioned that one of his roommates, Dom, was out at the minute.
You're bombarded with hugs and kisses on your cheeks. All you can hear is 'hi Gracie!' 'You're here' and 'you made it safely.'
You're quite a shy person, but once you get to know people, you are yourself around them.
"Hi everyone" you say back.
"So how have you been?" David asks.
After being on this world for 19 years, David is one of the few people you feel like you can actually talk to but when he moved away you couldn't really talk to anyone. However, you can't say what you want to with all these people around.
"I've been good," is all you can think of saying.
"That's great," David replies.
After an hour or so, everyone leaves after giving you a hug. Everyone apart from David and Alex as it is their place.
"Oh my god, Gracie, I'm so sorry, you must be so tired!" David says after seeing you yawn.
"Actually, I am quite tired" you say while yawning again.
"Where do you wanna sleep?" David asks.
"I'll go on the couch, it's fine" you reply.
"You sure?" He asks as you nod "Okay, I'll just go get you a blanket and pillow" David says as he walks off.
You're left alone with Alex. He coughs and you jump because you weren't expecting it.
"Sorry" Alex apologies.
"No it's fine, don't worry" you quickly say as you sit down on the couch not sure what to say because you've never met Alex before. A weird scuffling noise happens beside you and you look over.
"Oh my god! A bunny" you exclaim excitedly.
Alex sits beside you on the couch as he says "You want to hold him?"
"Yeah!" You reply.
Alex gently lifts him out the cage and carefully passes him to you. You hold onto him as gently as you can. You've always loved animals but never had one growing up.
"His names Bailey" Alex softly says. It's clear he loves Bailey a lot. You smile at the white, fluffy bunny as he curiously sniffs your hands. You suddenly feel Alex's heartbeat on your arm. You never realised how close you two were sitting together. You're leaning against him and he's supporting you with his body. He laughs a little as Bailey nibbles at your finger. You look up at Alex to see him look back at you smiling. Then he looks back at the little creature in your hands. You continue to stare at him. You take in his features. His tan. His brown hair. His plump pink lips. You get lost in his green eyes. He looks back at you at that point. You feel your cheeks going red so you quickly turn back to Bailey. Alex gets up and places him back in his cage. You suddenly feel cold as Alex's body heat was what was keeping you warm. David comes back into the room and tells you two the story of how he couldn't find the blanket and then misplaced the pillow after he had found the blanket. You all laugh and the two boys head off for bed. You brush your teeth, take off your makeup, put your pyjamas on and climb into your makeshift bed.
