PROLOGUE :: NO CHILDREN ON A PIRATE SHIP

"And just who would you two be? Why are there children on your ship, Killian?" It was a question everyone that had ever come onto their father's boat asked them and their father. They had grown quite use to it by now.

"On the contrary, we are not children." The girl would reply as sat atop the desk in her father's study and sharpened her throwing knifes, barely glancing up at the visiting pirates who sat in the chairs.

"Not children." The boy would repeat from his spot on the window seat, eyeing the new pirates quietly. "We're almost fifteen, actually."

Killian Jones would merely roll his blue-shaded eyes and usher the girl off his desk as he sat down behind it. "Lilith, don't kill anyone with those. Liam, watch her." He call as they exited the room, and turned to the visitors.

"I wasn't aware you had children." They would say, and Hook would chuckle slightly.

"Not many are. They don't go to ports much."

"Then where are they when you go?"

"On the island with their friends."

"The island?" The pirates would ask, surprised at both Hook's ability to get to the dark island, and his willingness to let his children wander it. "But surely, there is no one on that island."

"Quite wrong you are, mate. There are plenty of people on that island, not that I've met many of them." Hook responded, and paused as his daughter rushed back into the quarters.

"Papa, the boys have come to take us to the island." She panted, grinning almost madly.

Killian Jones nodded once and glanced out his window. He could faintly see the outlines of boys in various sizes, floating around his ship. "Go on, we're not going anywhere."

The other pirate, who we really do not know the name of, looked quite dumbfounded at this comment. "But, we are no where near port, how are they to get to the island?"

Lilith laughed, still grinning quite madly, and looked at the pirate with a wondrous air to her gaze. "You haven't been in the Never Sea long, have you? We shall fly, of course."

At this, the man seemed to scoff. "You will fly? You must be mad, child."

"I say again, I am not a child. And yes, we will fly."

There came a sudden shout of her name, by a voice the man hadn't heard earlier. "Later, hurry it up, would you?"

"Aye, Captain." She called back, spinning around to go, and leaving the door wide open.

The man stood up and gazed out the door of the cabin, watching as the girl walked up to a boy he hadn't seen before, who proceeded to throw something golden at her. Lilith rose into the air, laughing.

The boy gave her a slight grin. "Come along, Later. Or we'll be late, and you know how much Tinkerbelle hates for us to be late."

"Must you rub it in that I'm younger, Pan?" Lilith asked, turning over in the air to float in her back towards the island in the distance.

The boy laughed again, and as they flew out of sight, the pirate heard him respond. "You know I must, Lilith!"

When he turned back to Killian, he found the other man smiling gently. "They are not children, as you must now see. For the first rule still stands; there are to be no children on a pirate ship."
