Willowkit was curled up close to Wildflower's side, her fluffy fur keeping her and her less-fluffy sister, Blazekit, warm. The blizzard raged on outside and the two queens in the nursery had huddled, attempting to create warmth. Berryfall's son, Jaykit, was laying his head on his mother's paw. The large, white and silver tabby kit was staring outside, his eyes trained on something. Willowkit didn't want to find out what, for she was warm and comfortable. Berryfall lifted her head up, sighing as the storm began piling snow in front of the den. The four cats had retreated to the back of the den, not wishing to catch the wicked sickness, Yellowcough. Wildflower sighed sadly. "I can't believe it's been going on for this long..." Whispered Blazekit. Willowkit had cuddled deeper into her mother's warm fur, still attempting to keep warm. "I know, right? What if it floods with snow?" Whimpered Willowkit, squeaking slightly. Wildflower bent down and nuzzled her daughter softly. "It's alright, Willowkit. The blizzard should calm soon" The brown tabby reassured. "Wildflower? What do you think the patrols did?" Asked Berryfall, nudging Jaykit closer to her. The tom kit mewled in protest. "Berryfall!" He whined. "Now, Now, Jaykit. Whining isn't necessary" Scolded Berryfall, wrapping her tail closer around Jaykit. Wildflower nudged her daughters over to them, soon cuddling closer to Berryfall.  "I'm unsure... But they've dealt with this before. I'm more worried about Scarletpaw... She's smaller than most" Sighed Wildflower. "Wildflower? When will me and Willowkit be able to leave?" Asked the russet she-kit known as Blazekit. "Eventually, Blazekit. Eventually..." Chuckled Wildflower, yawning. Blazekit had just noticed that Willowkit had fallen asleep. She cuddled into her sister's side and felt herself drifting off, sleep swallowing her. Wildflower smiled softly, laying her head down beside Jaykit, who enjoyed his mother and Wildflower's warmth. Soon, the white tabby had fallen asleep soundly.
