Chapter 7, Caesar

I put Caesar's stuff in the spare room and decorated it with black and brown stuff. It looked nice. While I was at the dog place, I got muddy paw print stickers that I put on the wall. I set up Caesar's bed and let him into his room. He examined it (like a dog) and started whining.

I gave him a hug and and was about to ask him what was wrong when I caught a whiff of him.

"You need a serious bath." I said and grabbed the dog bath stuff and put his collar on him. I pulled him out the door with his stuff in a paw-print bag. 

As we made our way to Garrett's office, we got lots of weird looks. I simply smiled back. I knocked on Garrett's door and told Caesar to sit and stay. 

I entered his office to find him still working. He needs a brake! When I came in he looked up at me.

"So what did you get?" he asked, and as if on cue, Caesar walked in with a goofy smile. Garrett looked completely dumbstruck.

"Well I got a few electronics and Caesar," I said hugging Caesar and ruffling his fur.

"Garrett meet Caesar, Caesar, meet Garrett," I smiled. I steadied Caesar as he stood on his hind legs and held out a paw for Garrett to shake. I'm pretty sure I have the smartest dog on earth!

Garrett still looked surprised. 

"Well, I was just wondering if I could give him a bath," I asked and Garrett nodded. I smiled and Caesar and I ran out to the yard. I pulled the wash bin out of my car while he found the hose. 

After a long 'bath' Caesar and I came inside, smiling proudly. He was all clean, and I was soapy and wet. We had a fun time. We made it up to my room, Caesar immediately went to his room to sleep while I took a shower.

After my shower I Flopped onto my bed to go to sleep. I clapped and all the lights went off. Fancy. I fell into a peaceful sleep full of dreams.

End of Flashback

I smiled and got up off the ground. 

"Caesar! Breakfast!" I called and went into my kitchen. I made eggs and bacon then poured dog food into Caesars bowl. He ate it happily and jumped on my bed when he finished. I could literally hear it groan under him. I could probably ride him if I wanted too.

We played around, I taught him a few tricks and commands that he didn't already know, we ate, we took a nap, we played some more, we played tag, and then we lay panting on the floor. Fun, right?

We heard a knock at are door and Caesar and I grinned mischievously. We raced to the door. 

"One..... Two..... Three!" I whispered and pulled the door open. As soon as it was open, Caesar attacked the visitor and licked them all over. I couldn't help but laugh. 

Rio pushed Caesar off of him and stood up covered in drool. This made me laugh even more.

"Yeah," I say holding back my mirth. He scowls at Caesar, making me stop laughing. I loved him! I stepped in front of him protectively. He noticed my movement and put on a poker face. 

"My father wants to see you." he said seriously and walked away. I closed the door and locked Caesar in his room with some toys and food. I didn't want him to destroy the other rooms. I walked out of my room and went to Garrett's office. 

"So how's your dog?" he asked, and for some reason I had the need to tell him everything. 

"Well, It wasn't like this yesterday, but today I feel like he's almost human. He understands me so well and I understand him too. Yesterday I thought he was just a really smart dog, but now it's like he's as smart as me. I just wuv him so much!" I said, elaborating with gestures and a baby voice at the end.
