Celina was sound asleep in her bedroom. She was so excited. Tomorrow was her first day as a middle schooler at South Doyle. She was dreaming about middle school when she hear a loud thump downstairs. She put on her glasses and snuck down the stairs and peaked into the living room.

She was shocked by the sight she saw. Her dad had a bottle of some sort in his hand and was screaming at her mom. He grabbed her mom's hair and dragged her across the floor while she sobbed and pleaded for him to calm down.

"I don't work all day just to come home and have you lay on your ass all day!" He screamed as he kicked her," You will do as I say and go in there and do those damn dishes!"

Celina couldn't help herself. She let out a loud sob alerting the parents of her presence. Her dad turned around and looked his daughter in the eye. He took a sip out of the bottle and walked over to her.

Celina's instinc was to run, but her legs were to scared to move. Instead, she tried to scream, but as she did her father grabbed her hair and three her to the floor.

"What do you think you're doing down here, missy?" Chris, her father, yelled.

Celina didn't say anything, she just sobbed in her mother's arms.

Chris took another sip and yelled," Answer me when I talk to you, bitch!"

Her mother, Shannon, put her hands over Celina's ears trying to block out the yelling. Caitlin and Caleb were at some party so it was only the three of them.

Chris yanked Celina away from her mother and proceeded to hit her. Celina was stuck. She didn't know what to do. She looked over and see a double of empty bottles on the floor. She wanted to go get one and smash it over her dad's head, but her legs didn't work.

What happened next freaked Celina out so much she almost wet herself. All five bottles lifted into the air and rammed into Chris's head.

He stopped and fell to the floor. He was still conscious but only barely. He looked at Celina and weakly yelled,"What the hell?"

As Chris lost consciousness, Shannon ran over to Celina and hugged her so tight.

"Your my brave little girl." She whispered in Celina's ear. Shannon went over to the phone and dialed 911. Celina was still in shock about the floating bottles.

She focused on the t.v remote. As soon as it lifted off the coach it fell right back down. She looked at her hands as if they held some nagical power which was likely since she was pretty sure she made those bottles float.

She was scared out of her mind. She didn't know what to do. While her mom was in the other room, she went into the kitchen to get a water bottle and crackers. Then... She ran. She ran until her feet hurt. Then she would run some more.

She didn't know where she was. So she ducked in an alley and went to sleep. She still spent know what made her want to run. But that run changed her.
