Chapter 18 Growing Army

~Ze's P.O.V.~

I watched as James and Jordan angrily planned out their strategy. They wanted Libby back. Of course, so did I. She was my best friend. We had always been best friends. She was always the one I went to. I had even died for her, being resurrected and all. I wanted her back as much as they did. But, I did not want this war.

Now, that did mean that I was going to leave the Creatures. I was going to stay here until the bitter end. I loved these guys and the girl we needed to get back. And if I had to die, and maybe not come back, for her, I would.

My ears twitched slightly as the door clicked open. I turned my head and was met with a pair of brown eyes. Jesse.

"I want to get her back," He said, his voice determined, but pained.

"You're the one that let her f*cking go!" James hissed. Dan placed his hand on James's shoulder.

"I know," Jesse said, hanging his head in shame. "But I want her back. She's my best friend. Ze, you know how I feel. Back me up,"

I sighed. "We need all the help we can get."

"He's a mortal!" James hissed.

"But he knows about us, he knows of our war, our past. We can make him immortal." Jordan said, looking clearly to James and Dan.

"I'll do it," Dan said. He turned his warm, brown eyes to meet Jesse's. "Be warned, you'll be half immortal. Me, myself, being half Vampire can only make you half."

"I'll live with it," He said, taking in a deep breath. He craned his neck back to give Dan access to turn him. "I want to show her that I can be there for her. I let her down, and I'm so sick of doing that to her. It's my fault she's with them. I'm getting her back."

Dan walked over and grabbed Jesse roughly by his shoulders. His small half Vampire fangs protruded from his pink gums and he sunk them into the poor boy's neck.

I winced and looked away, watching as everyone else talked about strategies, plans, weapons, other soldiers, the enemy.

Our army was growing, and we have the power of resurrection on our side. There was just one person left I in particular wanted to have on our side.

Ashley. Our friend, and fellow soldier, Kevin's ex girlfriend. She had been lost to us. But deep down, I knew she was still here with us somewhere. But where? Was she, too, with them?

Aleks walked up to us, watching slightly as Jesse's body convulsed and shuttered as the venom took him over. He shook his head and sighed, turning to us.

A girl with pink hair looked at us.

"Meet my cousin, Luna," Aleks smiled. "She's a good resurrectionist, and a good fighter. She's ready to help us get Libby back."

I smiled at Luna.

"So, what's the plan?" She asked.
