After all the screaming and pain, you wiped your eyes and looked at Chris. He was there, his own eyes tearing up as he stared right back at you. Your eyes shifted to the doctor, who handed your little child.
"Congratulations... It's a baby boy." You saw the nurses 'awe' at your baby.
It felt weird to think that, your baby, your child, your boy. You looked at him for the first time, he was curled up. His delicate body against yours. A hand was placed on his head, you followed it to see Chris' face red from crying. You placed your hand on his own, Chris' eyes darted to you and he kissed your forehead and placed his head on yours. You cried again silently, holding your family close to you. You slowly gave him to your husband, who carefully took him. Wiping your eyes and trying so hard not to cry, you saw Chris talk to his son. He was chuckling and touched his nose and fingers. He talked about all the adventure you three will have together.
"We're going to have so much fun..." Chris turned to you. "Together..."
You sighed, "I'm gonna have to do that again at some point..."
You started laughing along with Chris and the doctors.
