Hailey was my one and only.. I know we were meant to be the first time I saw her beautiful face, and her bright, blue eyes. I texted her every morning,
"Hi beautiful."
And she would always reply with something sweet like
"Hi, how are you."
I always told her I loved her. She always told me she was scared, and that she can't...
It was Christmas Eve, and I had just turned on the tv, and saw the name Hailey Anderson.
Surely this isn't the Hailey Anderson I know... right?
Was the first thought that came to mind. After I came back into focus with the tv, I saw the girl had gotten in a very severe car accident, with her and a couple friends..
The news didn't show her face so there was still a chance it could just be a coincidence.
The next morning I text Hailey,
"Hello beautiful."
She replied
"Hey, what's up? I'm kinda busy right now.. I miss you."
"I miss you too. You ok?"
"I'm fine.. don't worry about me.. "
"Good:)"
"Jake.. I love you.."
"I- I love you to Hailey... I have to go but.. do you wanna go out tomorrow night? Around.. 5?"
"Oh.. um I don't think I'll be able to make it.. Jake.. I'm scared."
"Why? what's wrong?"
" you probably saw on the news.. I was in the car crash.. there is a chance I could die, tonight.. Do I mind coming to the hospital so I can see you one last time..?"
"I'm at work.. but I'll cancel. What hospital are you at I'm coming right now!"
"The closest one to my house.. I forgot what it was called, I've forgotten most things actually.."
"I'm on my way.."
Hailey was so miserable she was questioning why she was even still alive, she just wanted to go.. but she wanted to see jake more that anyone because he cared about her even more that her own dad...
On his way to the hospital, jake was thinking about Hailey.. what would he do without her, she was the first thought in his head in the morning and the last at night..
Jake had bought flowers, they were her favorite. When Jake got to the hospital the first thing he did was go to the front desk, and get Haileys room number, then he was going to ask her out on one more date, because she had always said no, Jake thought he might give it one last shot...
