Enter The Trinity: Mind (Unfinished)

Prologue:

From the beginning of written history, the general consensus among all people was that knowledge should be accounted and passed down to future generations thus teaching our kin things they need to know about their ancestry. As all things in history, the truth is something sought after by many a man, for lifetimes and more, yet never truly found.
What is the real truth?
Did the 3 powerful nations we have today; (UEN) United European Nations commonly referred to as Uppers, (NAU) North Atlantic Union commonly referred to as Northerners,
And the (EAE) East Asian Empire commonly referred to as The Enlightened; spring into existence after a terrible energy crisis threatened to leave many countries on the verge of crumbling? Seemingly out of nowhere? Or did something else influence the creation of the three nations of the Trinity?

The infamous E-Day of 2055 saw almost every country on the planet fall to ruin and chaos. Economies crashed and burned, as did some of the countries belonging to those economies.
This collapse came when oil reserves grew low and alternative options were too minimal and costly for the amount of energy needed to sustain such a large population in existence at the time. The dollar had lost it's worth and gold was meaningless during the height of the Great War (2055-2070). This was not a war of soldiers. This was a war of knowledge.
The Digital Age was at it's peak and information was a weapon and a currency that all craved. Much blood was spilled during The Great War but revenge and greed were the cause of much of it.
The usual violence always seemed to stem from dissension among the common people, looking for a target for their anger. The media attempted to placate the people with misinformation and false hope campaigns. More often than not you would hear a President or Prime Minister making announcements to the people. Telling them to remain calm and have hope that the greatest minds in the world were working on a solution. It was reported that the United Nations had been working to find an answer to the energy crisis, but this a twisted truth. No cooperation talks ever happened, nobody within the UN was working together to save the world. Working alone, however, that was another thing altogether.

It was through the accumulation of precious, aforementioned, knowledge that the UEN was born.
Preceding the Great War the Swiss Government was able to get their hands on some highly classified and advanced technology called simply The Trinity Theory. Something so simple yet so significant to the fate of an entire planet. Kept under lock and key in an old German laboratory since the 1930's, most now don't even know that something as simple as a piece of paper changed the world.
On December 25 2070 scientists within an undisclosed laboratory used the Trinity Theory to construct a device they called the Trinity Orb.
This marvel of human ingenuity changed everything, able to create massive amounts of power and produced a handy biproduct.
T13 is a biogel that the Trinity produces during its purging process. This biogel has been used in millions of products to replace the very expensive and sparse oil supplies.
The Trinity, though being organic in nature, has been discovered to have digital components as well. Able to connect and adapt to any type of technology, advances are still being made today. An example would be the biosensors in our brains are used to make everyday tasks easier and less stressful by allowing you to interact with the world using your thoughts.

As expected, after a bloody war and so much death, such a drastic shift of power in the world economy saw national borders redrawn and the UN abolished. On December 25 2070 the UEN declared that all countries and nations of the world would receive the benefits of the Trinity and T13 through a new trade agreement, making  the UEN sole provider and owner of the Trinity and all future technology.
As outraged as many countries were at the proposition, most signed the agreement, hoping to settle the uprisings happening within their own borders. The people had tired of fat politicians with silky words and empty promises. They needed something substantial to end the fear and anger.
The existing European Union, now the UEN, and a few other European countries banded together to create a close-knit union of countries that thrive today, due to their proximity to the Trinity and help in the study and creation of The Trinity Network.
The EAE formed of Japan, China, and most of the middle East and eastern Asia. The dynasty of Emperor Yung and their idea that they were "enlightened" through their refusal to rely on the Trinity and seek clarity through the teachings of the Samurai, drew many countries to join his nation. Although deciding to still choose nuclear plants to create energy, they still secretly trade in T13 as it is always a useful product.
The final nation created was the NAU. The North Atlantic Union was made up of Northern Russia and surrounding nations including all of North America. A Speedrail bridge, built from Yukon to Northern Russia across the north pole, allows the nation to remain more connected. Rumors of a massive oil stockpile somewhere in the Arctic have surfaced but nothing has been confirmed. Yet the NAU seem to be thriving despite their lack of real energy production.
The remaining countries of the world  broke off into "Free Nations" usually controlled by a warlord or self made King. Many remote countries still enjoy the quiet, old way of life, free from oppression and technology in general. Few remain however as raiding pirates have devastated most of the quiet hamlets and villages lucky enough to escape being "included", yet not lucky enough to be protected by that inclusion.

Finally there is the Dead Zone, created after war, known as the Red Battle, broke out between Africa and South America in 2064. The two had made incredible advances in technology and human rights during the 2000s becoming hubs for tourism and technology. The respective governments began work on their nuclear and aerospace programs. The two countries worked together building a massive spaceship, aptly named Settler's Steed, to colonize Mars in the event the earth becomes unlivable. Not much is known about this monstrosity other than it is believed to be the reason for the Red Battle in 2064. A takeover attempt of Settlers Steed by one of the governments, no one knows who for sure, caused a retaliation attack that ended in all out nuclear war effectively devastating both continents. Seeing that other countries could be pulled into a war during such a tenuous time, the United Nations, declared martial law, implementing an embargo and no fly or walk zone south of the checkpoints set up across the North American/South American border. The same was done in Europe effectively sealing off the northern hemisphere from the south. Not willing to risk contamination from the nuclear fallout, air scrubbers were set up along the borders, and mandatory re-breathers were handed out to everyone, as some of you might remember. A cautionary tale for any nation indeed!

But, I digress, our history has been written by those who had the power to write it. And whether they told the truth and nothing but the truth, or lied to our faces we will never know... What matters is what you think is the truth.. Mr Haines?...
