The Train

"GET OUT OF BED NOW OR YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE!" James Potter forced his eyes open slowly. After a minute of laying there he remembered what was happening today and threw himself out of bed so fast he tripped on his sheet and fell to the ground with a crash. "STOP MESSING AROUND AND GET A MOVE ON!" The angry voice which James identified as his mother screamed again. None of this mattered to him however because only one thing was on his mind, today would be his first day at Hogwarts.

   Hogwarts was a school for wizardry that exepted witches and wizards from all around the UK once they turn eleven. He ran around throwing things into his trunk from across the room. Despite his mother's constant reminders for the last two weeks he had forgotten to pack beforehand. waved goodbye to his family as he got on the train. This was his first year at Hogwarts and though he did not show it he was nervous. What if he did not get sorted into Gryffindor? What if he didn't make his house quidditch team? James tried his best to push these thoughts aside as he searched for an open compartment. START HERE But he could not show any sign of worry to his friends. As they got of the train James's best friend Sirius taped him on the shoulder and pointed at a girl their age with long red hair and beautiful green eyes. James could not help but stare. When they got a seat on the train they found that it had the redheaded girl and also a boy named Severus. James was rather a flirt so he started to talk to the girl and found that her name was lily. What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl James thought to him self. They talked about what houses they wanted to be sorted into once they got to Hogwarts. Peter one of James's friends wanted to be sorted into Gryffindor and so did his friends Remus and Sirius. Sirius is also a pure blood meaning that his whole family is magic but all of them were Slytherins and he wanted to be a Gryffindor because he was not like his family he was different and also his family hated him and were associated with the dark lord also known as voldamort. Severus wanted to be a Slytherin. James on the other hand wanted to  a Gryffindor like his dad where dwell the brave at heart but daring nerve and chivalry set Gryffindors apart. Severus and James had an argument about what house was better and Severus told lily that she ought to be Slytherin because she was smart. James hoped that she would be a Gryffindor though. He could tell that lily did not really like him because he was teasing her friend but he knew that he could win her over. They arrived at Hogwarts and border the boats  James got in a boat with his friends and saw lily go off in one with Severus  and some other first years. They were planning out everything to how they would sneak around to if they would play quidditch. Then the boat ride was over so they got out of the boats where they would be sorted into their houses. The first to go was a nervous looking girl named Ava boomslang. There was no color in her face as she stepped up to get sorted. It was silent then a loud voice cried out GRYFFINDOR! There was a shout of joy from the Gryffindor table as Ava ran to take a seat. Then it was Sirius's turn. He looked as nervous as the last girl.  But when the hat was placed on his head it yelled GRYFFINDOR! Sirius looked so glad and tripped on his was coming down. Next was a girl named Gabriela caplon. She walked up confident and same thing with the last girl everyone was silent.you could hear a wand drop but it shouted out SLYTHERIN! There was a cheer over their. Then a little while later his friends had been sorted into Gryffindor and it was Lily's turn. As soon as the hat touched her head it screamed GRYFFINDOR!  James let out a yelp of joy but quickly got over it. He looked over to Severus where he saw him from. That made James simile. Then the prefects took the children to their dorms. James and Sirius fell behind the group in deep conversation about lily. BLOODY Hell! Sirius exclaimed she is perfect for you and I think that she likes you. Really said James with a grin on his face. Sirius just laughed. They would never have stopped talking but they heard a scream. HELPPPPP! It was peter he got caught in the trick stair he screamed as if a dementor was sucking his sole out. James, Sirius, and Remus(who at last looked up from his book(Fantastic beasts and where to find them) ran to help peter. The group had left them they would have to find Gryffindor tower themselves. Sirius let at a moan of fusteration when they heard a laugh. Then came peeves they would have to ask peeves where to go. James and Sirius had heard many story's about peeves and were not very happy to see him.  Remus on the other hand who was a muggles born meaning they were the only ones with magic in their family's had no clue who peeves was. Remus went to see who laughed and James and Sirius warned him not to they would end up regretting it. But Remus did not listen. Bloody hell said James as he knew his friends fate.
