Change Forever

*Alarm lock going off* "Uhhh my arms are killing me what's going on? " He asks as he looks down at his left arm. It's bleeding and his skin is cracking apart. "Oh no not today please!" He says to himself as he hastily starts rummaging through his nightstand. "Come on come on where are you. Ah yes here it is" he holds up a pill bottle with only a name on it reading Jay. "I've got to hurry only 2." He reminds himself and takes the pills. He lets out a sigh of relief and looks back at his arm. It returns to normal and heals rapidly looking like nothing happened. "That was  too close." he says relaxing into his bed. He gets up after some time and changes into a white T-shirt and jeans wearing grey vans and a necklace that has been with him since he could remember. He was told that it was made for him by his mother and father. He felt as if this necklace was a clue to why his body was changing. As he starts to walk out the door he begins to feel his left hand burn while his right hand feels cool. The skin on his hands crack and break revealing a jagged hard skin under on his left while his right reveals a smooth and tough skin. 'What the pills didn't work but they've been working since I was 6 what is going on?' he thinks as he starts to take his phone out and call his friend. Luke was working when his phone started vibrating in his pocket. He reaches in and takes his phone out seeing that Jay is calling him, perplexed that Jay was up this early he answers the call. "Hey dude what are you doing up this early?" he asks jokingly. After hearing Jay tell him what is going on his smile slowly fades and he quickly turns serious. "Okay Jay I'm heading to you now." he replies worriedly. "Actually I'm at your work." Jay says while walking into the coffee shop. Luke is completely dumbfounded but is taken back to reality when his boss smacks him in the back of the head. He noticed Jay was wearing his black hoodie but with the sleeves down which is setting alarms off in his head. He serves the people then takes his lunch break and sits in front of Jay. Jay hands Luke a brown bag filled with food he cooked the night before. Wide eyed Luke accepts the bag and starts eating. "I thought you would be hungry but I need you to see this." Jay says and hesitantly pulls up his right arm sleeve revealing the smooth tough skin with glowing white tattoos. He puts his hood up and whispers "It's gotten brighter". Luke seeing his friend uncomfortable smiles and tells him to wait after his shift is over. "oh and I have something to show you but you have to come with me to my place." Luke says as he gets up and goes back to work. Jay nods and then tells Luke that he is going to be heading to his quiet place before seeing him after work. As Jay walks out the door he gives Luke a slight smirk and side glance. "Oh one day some girl is going to think that you are cute doing that!" Luke yells. When Jay gets out of Luke's field of vision he laughs and grins with excitement of going to one of his favorite spots in the city. He walks a few more blocks until he gets to a beaten stone path leading to a little library/book store in between an authors apartment and a tailor. He walks into the library and says hello to the kind blind librarian he helps frequently. Today though she thought she would surprise him with bringing her daughter as a helper. She then had her daughter hide when she heard him enter her shop and begins small talk. "I was wondering when my favorite young man would come in today." she says as Jay makes his way to her. "Well I was held up by a emergency with my friend, but I'm here now," he says as he walks over to the bookcase where her daughter is hiding. "Oh I almost forgot I have something for you, why don't you come here and help get it with me?" as she says this Jay turns around from the bookcase and goes over to her desk where he librarian points to a medium sized box placed between two of his favorite books. It was a wooden box with some weight to it, he lightly shook it and opened the lid. When he was doing this the librarian signaled to her daughter to stand next to her. She then spoke to get his attention "You know, I was given that to hold on to for you. I was given it by a man with glowing white tattoos on his body saying that he knew your father and that he knew of me because of your affinity for books and knowledge." as Jay turned to face her he saw her daughter and stopped to think 'Who is she? Could that be another customer? when did she get here?' "Jay I would like you to meet my daughter,  Amelia."  Amelia is 5' 5" with bright green eyes enough for any person who looks into them long enough to be in her control. "Shes so beautiful and her hair is a light brown instead of dark brown like mine" Jay thought and he walked closer to the desk. Amelia backed away while covering her mouth with her sleeve, blushing as he moved closer. Then the librarian took the box from Jay and handed him 3 items from it. The first item was a handgun with ancient runes carved into the side they looked similar to the tattoos on his right arm. The second was a small chain with a key chain scythe that hummed with a red energy which reminded him of his left arm. The third was a small bottle that held some liquid which smelled nice. The librarian then asked for Jay to hold out his hand. When he did this she moved up his sleeves to reveal his arms and she put the liquid from the bottle on them and they had returned to normal Jay looked to her confused. "How did you know what it was?" Jay questioned. "I know many things like for example your origins." she said as her daughter brought her a thick book that she put to the side of her and gave Jay the last thing in the box. It was a new hoodie when unraveled it a paper fell to the ground with Jay's full name on it. The paper stated what everything was and how to activate certain objects. The hoodie had wings on the back one an angel wing and the other a demon wing. As he read the note it stated that it wasn't just a decal but actual wings to let him fly. How to activate the ability is that he had to say the word flight in both angelic and demonic tongue. The handgun belonged to his father who was an angel. The gun came with 2 magazines which would refill when he said a prayer or read what his tattoos said in angelic tongue. The scythe was his mothers who was a demon. The scythe would grow into full size if he lets blood get on it. He then started scratching the back of his head while slightly laughing. When he opened his eyes changed from blue to green. The librarian then proceeded to talk to him and teach him both languages. They had spent hours and Amelia even made coffee, while she went to get it the librarian told Jay that Amelia was a witch in training. She told him this in hopes that it would spark him to talk to her more. When Jay finished his cup he thanked the both of them and asked if Amelia would like hang out sometime she turned a bright red and nodded yes. Jay then left while doing the same expression he did to Luke  and headed over to his friends apartment.
