Prologue

I was playing with my dolly, while mommy and daddy were busy unpacking. We just moved in a new house and i was excited to explore. I walked up to my mommy in the kitchen and pulled on her white dress.

" yes love" she looked down at me with the warm smile that always made me feel safe. She took the box she was unpacking and placed it aside to make room for me. She bent down and took me into her arms placing me on the kitchen counter.

I gave her the best smile i could put and placed my hands together " can i pretty please go play outside, i want to play with nemo". Nemo was our puppy. I got him as a surprise for my 5th birthday this year.

"I dont know sweety, we just got here and i dont want you to be outside alone", She said intertwining her fingers with mine.

I gave a small whine " mommy i wont be alone ill have nemo and if anything happens nemo will bark, please mommy i promise ill be good", i said giving her my secret weapon, the puppy eyes. It always works.

She gave a small sign and nodded her head " fine but you cant go outside the gate, ill come and check up on you in a bit". She gave me a kiss on the top of my head and put me back down so i can leave.

Feeling happy i hugged my mommy. "thank you, thank you mommy" she hugged me tight before letting me go. I turned around and began to skip when i stopped and turned around. "Love you mommy" i said blowing her a kiss". She looked at me and giggled.

" love you too, emma",she said smiling and going back to unpacking. I began to skip again passing by the living room. It was big. Daddy told me he was going to paint the walls hot pink for me which is my favorit color. I looked at the boxes and came across a smaller box that had my name on it.

I thought for a second on going to it but i really wanted to play with nemo. I turned to walk to the front door before realizing.... I cant reach the door knob. I was about to cry when daddy came and picked me up.

" what are you doing staring at the door love?" he said giving me an amused look. I looked at him and smiled

"Daddy can you open the door for me im going to play outside with nemo but i forgot... I cant reach" i said. He put me down and opened the door. "Here you go darling, now be carful we dont want you to get hurt".

I nodded my head and walked to nemo's dog house. It was small but very special. Me and daddy spend all summer building it, he even let me paint it any color. Yes, pink.

When i got to nemo's house i couldnt find him. I looked in his house, next to the rose bush even under his welcome mat but he wasn't there. I began to panick and felt tears falling down my face. I fell to the ground and placed my knees to by chest and sobbed what felt like hours.

Hes gone, my baby nemo is gone. How could this have happened.

" excuse me", i heard a voice between my sobbing. I looked up and saw a boy with curly hair. He looked like he was my age and seemed very shy.

"Yeah?" i said crying a little more. He looked at me and began to reach something from below the gate. I couldn't see what it was but when he came back up he had nemo in his arms.

"Is this your puppy" he said

"NEMO!!!" i yelled running to the curly boy and taking nemo into my hands. I cried again, not because i was sad but because i have my puppy back safe and sound. "Yes it is him, where did you find him", i asked.

He ruffled his curly hair and gave me a smile " he was in my yard playing with my sprinkler" he said gigling a little.

I laughed too. " thank you so much, you have no idea what i would no if he was gone" i said giving nemo a hug before putting him down. I walked up to the fence and extended my hand.

"Emma young, nice to meet you", i said.

He smiled and took my hand. " nice to meet you, my names harry... Harry styles.
