She walked as fast as she could to her next class. Today time just seemed to be running on the short end and she just didn't know how many seconds she had left. She sighed as she looked down at her phone to check for the time. She wiped a hand over her face as she noticed that she had an aching three minuets left to get to class. She picked up her paced and rubbed her hand across her golden crucifix necklace.
"Please God just a little more time."
As she reached out to grab the door a body shot in front of her making her things fall swiftly out of her hands and onto the floor she was knocked onto her feet and laid there troubled as her artwork shattered into pieces. She immediately looked to find the source of who just caused this sudden accident. She looked up only to find him hovering over her.
"I'm so sorry please let me help you." He looked down at her with sorrowful eyes. "I know that I can't make up for your art work but I promise I can try to get you out of this sudden hole that might be crushing down on you at the moment." She stared at him blankly and tried to inch a smile. This art work not only took days, but it took months and to see something that you considered to be one in a million shatter before your eyes can hurt. "Please I know I can't do much but please at least let me in the slightest bit help you." She nodded in satisfaction as he offered her his hand. As she stood on her feet she dusted off her velvet green shirt and jeans. She looked down at her black converse to see if the dust from the clay had stained her shoes. She sighed in relief. She took note that the boy had finally finished picking up her belongings and was now handing it to her. She smiled at him and gave him a genuine thank you. " If it still means anything I am still truly sorry." He opened the door for her so that she could enter the classroom. She smiled but the smile soon faded as she took an interesting note of her professors face. She knew that look very well and expected the worst to come and hover over her the entire class period.
"Late again Ms. Phillips?" She nodded slowly. " I apologize prof-." The professor lifted his hand to silence her and pointed toward her seat.
"Today I want you to forget about your projects and focus on what tomorrow may bring you. I want you to think back on how much stress and pressure this project has brought to you. I want you to think about your happy peeks to this projects and your flat peeks. As your thinking about it I would like you to put a color to it. Maybe that color is bold or maybe that color is a deep violet. As you mix together these empty pieces in your mind I want you to look past the big picture and paint your thoughts. Don't paint me what you think will catch my eye, but I want you to paint me your thoughts, paint me something that shaped your thought process when you first began your project. I want you to put this painting into unspeakable words make every stroke count." With those last words he turned away from us and headed back to his chair. She directed her attention over to the boy who had urgently pushed hisself in front of her. Soon noticing that his hazel eyes was staring deep into her soul. She flashed him a smile and searched the room for what she thought would help her thought process. She sighed in defeat and reached her hand into her bag pulling out her sketch pad. She gently rubbed her hand across the book. She opened the pad gracefully and began her thought process. She drew and poured her self into the piece. She had thought of so much that day and that's what shaped the processing of her project. It wasn't much but it was something. She looked to her left as she saw the chair next to her had been filled. The chair had now been taken over by the hazel eyed soul digger.
" If it helps I'm willing to help you put your project back to its brilliance. I'm willing to take action for what I did wrong even if that means getting closer to you. Could I get your name?"
I shook my hand out for him to shake. " My name is Via."
