A Story Of Twin Moons

Prologue: Two Separate Moons

"My precious pups, I promise nothing will ever happen to you even if I must separate you" The she-wolf whispered to her pups. "I must separate you, you probably will never remember me but I will always remember you two. If Dark were to find you my little daughter he might kill you." "Celestial, You must go now, Dark will be here soon." A wolf spoke from the entrance of the cave. Celestial looked up and saw that it was Dark's beta Storm. "Thank you Storm, please watch over Crimson till I return, I'll be back soon." Celestial looked down at the rusty brown pup laying protectively over the smaller grey and white pup, who had yet to be named. Storm smiled at the two. "Of course I will, if Dark gets here before you i'll tell him you went to get a drink from the stream by the swamp." Celestial nudged crimson over in the nest and off his sister, who squealed in protest. "Thank you Storm, for helping me protect her." Celestial said softly to her friend. "Of course, Celestial, but I must ask what is her name?" Storm said quickly, her ears perking listening for the sound of the large alpha coming to the den. "Her name...her name is Lunar, I will see you soon Storm." Celestial said quickly before picking up Lunar and running out the den and into the woods heading for the swamp, eventually she reaches a cave near the center of the swamp. "Winter! Winter!" Celestial calls out frantically. A large grey wolf runs out the cave with three small pups peek clumsily out the entrance. "Celestial? It's time already? Is this her? What's her name?" The wolf named Winter says in panic. "Yes it is time, this is Lunar." Celestial said, looking at the ground, grief clouding her eyes. "I will take great care of her Celestial I promise." Winter spoke softly. "Thank you Winter, ..Goodbye my sweet little pup." Celestial said, grief and regret flooding her. "I am so sorry my little one." She whispers before starting to walk away, she looks back at Winter and Lunar. "Goodbye Lunar, I hope I see you again." Celestial said before running back to the forest, her heart breaking at the sound of Lunar's howls.
