It's my first day of classes as a new student at Silas University. I'm the new girl here, as I didn't grow up around here like most students, which means I don't have any friends. I get out of bed and look at the clock. It reads 5:30 AM. Great. I walk over to the bathroom and brush my teeth, then head to the kitchen. I want coffee but my coffee maker had broken a week after I moved in, and this college is in the middle of nowhere. There's a Starbucks a block away so I might just get some there. I quickly eat some cereal and get dressed. I'm not dressed to impress, just some joggers and a flannel with A tank top, my usual attire. I grab my keys and rainbow ring from my bedside table and my SnapBack from the kitchen counter and head out the door. I check my phone and the clock reads 6:00. Perfect timing. I hurry down the stairs to the bottom floor of my dorm and head to my car. I turn on some Adore Delano and jam out all the way to Starbucks. As soon as I get my caffeine I'm ready to go. As I'm walking out the door I see a girl frantically trying to pick up papers that she has dropped. I put my coffee on the roof of my car and run to help. "Thank you so much, I'm running late to my first class at Silas University." I smile at the familiar name. "No way, I'm going there too! What're you here for?" "I'm going to be a car mechanic." She smiled and asked me the same thing. "Vet tech, I love animals." I smiled. "Well I don't want to keep you from going to class so I'll let you go now, maybe I'll see you on campus?" She smiled back at me "Maybe." I handed her the papers and grabbed my coffee. The drive back to campus went by faster than expected, and I parked outside my first class of the day.
