" MARIA, CAN YOU COME DOWN HERE FOR A SECOND?" My mom yelled from the bottom of the stairs.
" YEAH, SURE." I yelled back.
I pushed off button on my phone and jogged down the stairs. When I reached the bottom, i see my mom and dad sitting on the couch waiting for me.
" Whats going on?" I ask as i slowly walk over the the couch and sit down.
" I got offered a job honey. Its a job for a huge company and they are offering me over double the pay i am receiving now." My dad announces.
"Dad! Thats great!"
" But... We are going to have to move to New Jersey.."
"What? Dad, that across the country. We live in California. What about all of my friends? We've lived her for almost 4 years."
"Maria, theres nothing else i can do. Im sorry but I'm taking this job. We leave next week."
I don't respond as I stand up and walk to my room.
I sit on my bed for a while just thinking before i finally decide to get up and start packing.
