One thing I learned in life is to never trust someone. Not even your own family. I was once a very cheerful and bubbly kid. Not until, I found out who I really was. I'm a monster .. As they always tell me. Before, I don't think the same. But now .. I don't know anymore. I am subject 04, BYUN BAEKHYUN. The holder of the light symbol and this is my story.

"BAEKKKKIIEEEEE!" here comes Kim Jongdae a.k.a Chen. He's subject 21, lightning symbol.

"Can you shut up?" 😒 I maybe a monster. But, at least I'm not alone.

"It's another day to live? Come on, Baek. Why are you so grumpy this early morning?" Chen.

"There's nothing new Chen. Why do you have to ask the same thing everyday?" That's Do Kyungsoo a.k.a D.O., He's subject 12, the earth symbol and well, someone I rely to at times.

"Yah. Don't start fighting. I don't want to be paralyzed again." That's Kim Minseok a.k.a Xiumin. He's subject 99, frost symbol.

"Baby!!!!!!!" Chen tackling Xiumin. This maybe weird but yes. They're together. About the paralyzed thing .. That's what they (scientists) do to calm (more like force) us down.

"How do you think we'll do outside?" Luhan. Subject 07, telekinesis symbol.

"I don't want to go." They all stared at me.

"But why!" Kyungsoo.

"Why go somewhere no one will ever accept us? Why try adjusting to people who don't even care about us? There is no need for us to do so. It's pointless!" Then, I felt something .. No. Not again.

"Are you okay? Baekhyun?" Them.

All the memories haunts me back. From the time I accidentally blinded my twin brother Baekbeom and realize that I'm different, to the time my own family treat me as a monster. Then they sold me here in exchange to large sum of money. What now? What tragic thing will happen this time? Will I die at last? Then everything went black.

"Is he going to be okay?" Chen.

"I don't know Chen. But, we hope he will." Xiumin.

Waking up. I feel different. Like there is something missing .. But what is that?

"You okay?" Xiumin.

"What happened?" I barely remember anything.

"You passed out." Luhan.

"Is that all?" These guys are hiding something from me.

"Baekhyun .. Uhm .."Chen.

"TELL.ME.EVERYTHING." I looked at Kyungsoo. He never lies to me.

"You had an operation. Heart reconstruction. Due to stress and power that you have. You're heart died. You are now living through that mechanical thing they put into your chest. I'm .. I'm sorry Baek." Kyungsoo. Why did my heart died? Can't it just be me?

"Why? Nothing will change though. Besides, I can barely feel that I have a heart in the first place. I don't need it." While checking myself in the mirror.

That's how I get my mechanical heart. The one that keeps me alive until now. Everything is okay. Not until I met him and his gang.

PARK CHANYEOL. Who are you? Why do you seem so familiar? Do I know you?
