Training: R
Physical Description: R
The rest was about three pages explaining how Bree's family had been heavily involved in the army back on earth. From what he'd learned in history Jace understood the army to be sort of like a less advanced formation the the Guard. The file documented every place their ancestors had lived on Earth and all their children, none of which mattered to Jace. What was interesting though was, as the keeper had mentioned, many things were simply not known about Bree. Everything else that was normally heavily flushed out for career purposes was unlisted. Even her physical description used for identification purposes simply had a big black R next to them indicating that they were classified as restricted. Jace wondered why someone would bother to keep that unimportant information to themselves. That kind of stuff was listed to help in missing persons cases or job applications. So, why then would someone bothering restricting it? What is she hiding?, he wondered.
Deciding to skip what was left of his classes after all, Jace headed into his father's office. Unlike the doctor's, Henry Andrews' office was full of hard edges, dark wood and clean lines.
"Dad?"
"Jace."
"Um, do you have a sec?" With a long suffering sigh Henry put down the put he was using to sigh what looked like official Guard orders and looked up at Jace expectantly. "Do you know why someone's who file would be restricted? Like their school stuff and everything? Why does that matter?"
Surprise flickered in Henry's eyes for a moment. "Well, its not all that common as you've probably guessed. Um, I would think the person is trying to hide something. Sometimes people try to cover all the details so a little thing won't tip people off?"
"What about if it were her parents, why would her file be so restricted?"
Henry considered Jace for a moment but decided not to question who the here he was referencing was just yet. "I obviously don't know the specifics but I would guess it's the same type of thing. It's pretty easy to connect someone to their parents so if their files were restricted it's pretty natural for hers to be as well. But generally restrictions aren't handed out for no reason, son."
Bree was in a spaceship. All she could see was the dark sky through the huge window in the front. The stars blurred as they zoomed past. Before she could really comprehend what was happening everything went dark. Soon after Bree saw flashing red lights, there were sirens wailing and people shouting through the radio in her ear but she was stuck in her seat. It seemed someone had tied her down and the knot was just too tight for her to undo. She screamed for help but her voice was drowned out by the sirens. The sound of the escape vessels just be heard over the noise. This is it, Bree thought. Then, everything went dark a second time.
Bree shot up in her bed. Just a dream, just a dream, she kept repeating to herself with a hand over her racing heart. Following her usual routine she slipped on her slippers, ignoring the way her whole body was trembling and went to retrieve a glass of water from the kitchen. She'd been having the same dream since she was seven, the same year that her parents had died.
Shaking her head Bree set down her glass and headed for the shower. Once ready, dressed in her plain clothes, Bree headed off to class. She unconsciously chewed at her finger nails as she wondered how far behind she'd gotten.

"Knock, knock."Jace smiled, strolling into the doctor's office on his morning break a few days later. "Whatcha got for me today, Doc?"
"I need Bree, Jace. We need Bree actually." It was then that Jace noticed his own father clad in his uniform standing in the corner.
"Why?"
"Just a few questions son. Bree was in the main foyer during the crisis, she might know something."
"She doesn't remember that. She didn't even know what happened to her when she woke up."
"Frankly Jace, at this point we have no leads. The doctor here says there's a possibility we could trigger something in her memory."
"And you want me to get her?" Jace questioned.
"Actually we want you to question her."
"What? Dad, we went through this. I'm doing this medical internship. You can't force me into the Guard-"
"Look Jace," the doctor cut in, "we don't actually think Bree did anything and its pretty unlikely that she saw anything or is even capable of remembering it given the draining she went through. However, part of being in the medical profession means doing you're part to keep people safe, sometimes that means working with the Guard. It's procedure to question every possible witness. Your father and the other officers thought it would be a good idea for you to ask her a few questions because you're less likely to spook her."
"And what makes you think she'll get spooked?"
"She's hardly seventeen, Jace. Wouldn't you?"
Jace nodded begrudgingly. It was still more than likely that his father would convince the recruitment officers to use this as an entry test for the Guard but it was also likely the doctor was evaluating him. The more he worked in the medical wing the more he wanted this internship to turn into something real and if this is what he had to do to prove he was serious then he would. "What do you need to know?" With a look of satisfaction his father informed him of all the details the Guards would need from Bree, handed a piece of paper with Bree's scheduled location on it and sent him on his way.
