"So, who are you going to ask to the prom?" Adam asks as he is opening his locker. "I don't know. No one likes me at this school. What about you?" Kevin asks as he grabs his calculus book. "I already asked Stacy and she is my date. You should ask Trina, she doesn't have a date." Adam says. "I don't like Trina. She is not good looking." Kevin says. "Well, you better hurry because right now, you are REALLY desperate." Adam says as he pats Kevin's shoulders and heads off to his Word History class.

Kevin thinks to himself, "He's right. I really need a date, but who could I ask. I don't like anyo-"

"Um, excuse me. Could you show me the way to locker 362, please?" Said a gorgeous example of Kevin's idea of a 'Perfect Date'

"Uh-Uh-Uh-Uh, its right over there." Kevin couldn't control himself after seeing Jamie. He instantly fell in love but he knew it wouldn't work.

Jamie then asked, "Could you tell me where Mrs. Marquette's Calculus Class?"

Kevin stared into her eyes. He never met anyone more beautiful before. "That's actually where I'm headed. Follow me."

As they walk it is silent until Kevin decides to talk when they get to the stairs. "Um, I'm Kevin by the way."

"I'm Jamie, it's nice to meet you."

"Same here. You must be new?" Kevin asked as if he didn't know.

"Yeah. I just moved here from Chicago. Do you mind helping me until I get everything memorized at this school?" Jamie said.

"Um, sure. Just come ask if you need help. This is it" Kevin said pointing to the door. He opened and was surprised when everyone was in class. He didn't notice that the bell rang.

"You are 15 minutes late Mr. Bale. Oh, and you must be Mrs. Jamie Wilson. I'm sorry but I will have to give you both detention after school. Sorry. Please take a seat." Mrs. Marquette said as she began to write an equation. "Mr. Bale, since you decided to be late this morning, you are going to take this equation. Please come and simplify this equation." About 2 and a half minutes passed and Kevin still did not go up to the board. "Mr. Bale....... Mr. Bale........ MR. BALE!!!"

"Oh, sorry." He went up to the board and simplified the equation and walked back to his seat still looking at Jamie. This might have been his potential prom date.
