Fly, that's all I could do, fly away. The wind was blowing through my hair, my wings spread out, soaring through the air, I flew over rivers, mountains, oceans even, just to get away from him, but he always found me, he always does.
My pure white wings were getting tired, but I didn't stop, he was right behind me, his black wings carrying him through the sky, after me. He never stopped, I would always escape him, but somehow he would find me again, I didn't know how, but he did.
I swooped down, my wings aching, and head spinning. I ran instead, deciding to give my wings a break. They dragged behind my back, to lazy to pick them back up again, so I just let them hang their. I ran through the empty streets of Ukraine, I didn't know where I was exactly, but I didn't care.
I ran and ran, my lungs burning from the lack of oxygen, but I had to keep going. I stopped by an alley way, resting against the wall, breathing rapidly and heavily as my lungs took in the needed air. I looked up at the sky, the dark star lit sky, and saw a dark flying figure circling the area. I gulped and stood up straight, walking deeper into the alley.
Once I reached a dead end I stopped. I put my back against the cold brick wall and slid down, wrapping my wings over my body for warmth. I hugged my knees up to my chest and layed my head down, feeling tired and cold.
Why was he after me? Did he want to hurt me? What did he want from me? I've heard about him, he's the keeper of darkness, he can take and bring back life, such a dark yet beautiful gift. He's known to be evil, he hunts down his prey and kills them slowly and painfully. Was I his next victim?
I wimpered and closed my eyes shut. All I wanted was sleep, but I couldn't, because if I let my guard down, who knows what might happen. I took deep and steady breaths, trying to calm myself down as best as I could, but that wasn't working.
I felt a cold, sharp wind pass through my hair. I shivered and looked up, seeing the back of his siloet standing at the top of a building, looking in front of him. He stood completely still, if I were to just pass by him I would think he was a statue. He looked up at the sky, and so did I, wondering what it was he was looking for, but when I found nothing, I looked back at him. He was gone.
I looked around, wondering where he flew off to. Was it safe to come out now? I thought, but didn't move. I instead curled up even more tightly and let out a small yawn, feeling ready to just knock out.
I heard the sound of the cold night wind howling, it was comforting in a way, and slowly, I started drifting off to sleep, not being able to stay awake any longer. I took one last look around, and fell asleep.
