"Mom!" Stephanie called walking through the front hall of her mothers house. "I'm here!"
"So am I!" Brain shouted from out side the door as he sipped his dirty work boots.
"In here!" A shaky female voice called. The two followed the voice to the kitchen where they found their mother sitting down with red puffy eyes.
"Oh, mom." Stephanie sighed falling to her mothers side. Brian just looked at the dusty pile of presents on the table.
'To the best sister ever! With lots of love Brian!' One rapped in printer paper covered in stickers said. He gulped remembering the mirror he had hot glued macaroni to for his older sister. Granted he was only seven at the time, but he always thought it was never good enough for her.
"Her birthday is on Friday." The mother cried sitting amongst the unopened birthday gifts that served as a shrine for her missing duaghter.
"Mom. . ." Stephanie held the sobbing women's hand. "I got off early from work so we can just sit here and maybe watch old home videos like we did las year?" The women slowly nodded.

Just as the were about to click play on the blurry video the phone rang. The still crying mother stood slowly.
"Ma' I'll get it." Brian stood grabbing the phone. He held it up to his ear. Both the his sister and mother watched as he listened to the person on the other end.
"Sissy?" He cried covering his mouth in shock.
"Y/n?" His mother jumper up taking the phone. "Y/n? Is that you baby?"
"Mom, speaker!" Stephanie tugged on her mothers clothes. She quickly sat and pressed the speaker button.
"Hello? Y/n?" She spoke hoping to hear her sisters voice.
"Eomma~" A female voice cried over the phone.
"What?" The baffled women gave a confused look to her two kids that sat on either sides of her.
"Oh, sorry it's been a while since I've had to speak English-"
"What? Where are you sissy?" Brian yelled into the phone.
"We don't know its really here Brian." Stephanie whispered.
"I'm in south Korea." The girl said with sadness in her voice. "Bubby?"
"Sissy! It is you!" He took the phone from his mother holding it to his moth. "What happened? Are you crying?"
"Bubby, appa- I mean daddy had a heart attack," she cried. "He's dead!"
"Good!" He's mother snapped taking the phone back. "Honey, I'm coming to get you!"
"Mom! That's not why I called!" Her voice echoed in her ears. "I want you guys to come to his funeral!"
"But sissy, I'm not even being paid minim wage! How would we fly to Korea?"
"I'll pay the airfare, you guys just wait for me to pick you up." Y/n spoke.
"Y/n? It's Steph," she paused for her sister to say hello but nothing. "Are you okay?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"Dad treat you okay, before he- you know?"
"Yeah, he's a good father." Y/n said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Bubby, I'll email you your tickets and info for your flight!" And with that she hung up.
They all just looked around at each other in shock. Both the kids looked to each other then to the stunned women between them.
"Mom. . . she's alive at least." Stephanie smiled slightly.
"Go pack." She handed Brian the phone and stood walking upstairs to her room.
"It's her." Brian smiled looking to him oldest sibling. "It's y/n. . . its sissy!"
"Yeah," she nodded slowly.
"What's wrong? Aren't you happy? She's alive ad okay!" He looked to her with both worry and anger in his eyes.
"Yeah, but its been so long since we've seen her. . . she won't be the same."
"She's still our sister, she could have tattoos and piercings all over her body and I'll still love her the same. You should too."
