The Heir of Moonlight Kingdom

The ending of a new beginning.

There is an old saying in your kingdom "Does who dare to live life, life dares to give them a chance to live"

I am the princess Avery, of Maverick kingdom, I am the first born daughter of Seldom Colbert.

By the law of our kingdom he who is the first born becomes the Heir but instead my 15 year old brother, Arrogant, idiot and have no Knowledge of the real world, this the kind of guy who won't even last a day in the wilderness is being crowned as of we speak.

"I should be the rightfully heir to this kingdom" I grunt under my breath, this is a complete injustice.

"Behave Avery, this is Noway for a lady to behave and might I add a princess non-the-less," ladies and gentleman this cruel woman is my mother.

"But mother, I am the first-born I am more than the age to run this kingdom by myself," I know exactly what her response will be.

"Be quiet this instance," she was looking at me with those eyes, the eyes which says you are a disgrace to out family. "we will have you married to the neighboring kingdom after few days until then try not to embarrass us more further."

Before my mother could say Avery we truly hate you, my father begin is announcement.

"I like to welcome all the man and woman gathered here, to this auspicious moment, A moment which is gonna looked upon from history when a great leader gets is rightful place in the world."

My brother a great leader, what a joke.

"People of Maverick Kingdom please welcome your future king Marcus Zeldom Colber," if this guy is a king then I am the human reminiscent of God.

My brother comes out of the castle riding a horse, stopping in front of our so-called parents. Here's the interesting part.

My father grabs the shiny crown which has my name written all over it, figuratively. My so-called brother sat on the throne which also had my name written all over it and here's the final blow in my stomach, the crown lands on my brother head.

You can clearly see the smirk on his face, the crown doesn't belong on my brothers head.

Everyone broke into applause. Only if they could realise they will be cursing under their breath after few months.

"From today onwards I am stepping down from my throne, my protégé son will takeover the throne from here on out," my dad lost his goddamn mind.

No seriously he went Kuko, I thought he will come to power in the distant future and that future will be way, way, way, down the line.

Everyone in the audience were clapping like mad peoples.

Except for an old lady in the middle of the crowd. She had grin on her face and her eyes were sparkling, OK her eyes where actually sparkling, She then looked up from my brother and started looking directly at me, as if saying something to me, then she turn around and walked away.

"Mother who is the old woman right there," I asked my mother while pointing my finger at the lady standing down in the crowd.

"Shhhss, Avery Anne Seldom Colbert I had enough of your nonsense, Here on out if you even utter one word also, We two are gonna have a talk," has if we don't.

I don't know why mother hates me, but right now I had other things to think about.

I was again searching for the old woman in the crowd but couldn't find her until suddenly she appeared from nowhere and smile at me.
The old woman snapped her finger towards me and when she finally thought she held my attention, she just bow down her head and gestured her hand down the deserted street of Saint Barbara.

"Mother excuse me,"

"Your excused Avery," My Mother didn't even looked at me also and she was more happy when I left. Some mother that is.

I climb down the stairs holding this God awful dress with which I cannot even walk properly. The maids and all where carrying foods upstair.

"How's your day princess Avery," The head servant bowed down and asked, while holding 3 plates of fruits in her hands.

"Maria how many time I told you no need to do all this obligations in front of me, I am not your Queen Cruela. I am her daughter unfortunately.

Maria didn't reply anything. She just nodded with that ever plastered smile.

I walk down rest of the stairs thinking about poor Maria, she is a nice girl, at least I think so we didn't had much interaction but she looks kind hearted and beautiful.

Our kingdom maybe look bright and happy on the outside because my parents pour all the money towards the aesthetic of the kingdom instead of the major issues cursing our people life's.

After avoiding few of the most very unlikable peoples on my way out, I grabbed a cloak to hid myself from the crowd outside.

I reached the crowded street.

"Déplacez-vous hors de la voie humaine," That Bastard who shove me aside was my faraway cousin, has you can tell he is a puny human.

After dodging the overexcited foolish and idiot peoples of maverick kingdom for celebrating a day like when my foolish brother became the ruler of this whole place.

I doubt my brother could even go to bathroom alone by himself.

I reached the streets of saint Barbara.

"Hello there young lady, Are you looking for someone or something." She suddenly appear back of me, I was startled by her sudden appearance.

"I am sorry, do I know you," I said while lifting my cloak.

"In a way, In a way, Ava," the woman was looking at my face intently.

"I am sorry, but it's Avery"

"Ava darling, Are you ready to take a leap of fate?," OK this Lady is surely a crazy woman, what hell am I even doing here.

"Look lady, I think you may have mistaken me for someone else," Started walking away from her.

"It's you who have mistaken your true worth Ava, don't be blinded by other people judgement. Be yourself and you have no idea what your true self is Ava"

" lady are you crazy because right now you are making no sense"

"If you ever need to find out lost answers, you know where yo look"

The old woman gestured to the streets of saint Barbara again, and just walk down the path.
