The sting in my shoulder is the first thing I remember as I woke up in the warm sunlight, looking up at the perfect white clouds. Slowly my other memories return; my name, my mother, my job, and then the shootout.
"Where the hell am I,"I ask aloud "and how the hell am I not dead?"
"Well Sammual you are dead, but you aren't. currently you are in ICU in a possible coma." Said a man who looked old,not very old but just old enough to seem wise.
"Excuse me I am god." He stated "and matter of factly Sammual we need you."
      "We?" I asked "who's we?"
"Me and the old dude." Said a more middle aged man with a nice tan, leather jacket, dark jeans, and sunglasses on.
      "Sorry names Satan." He said
"Woah woah woah woah woah!" I said confused, "Satan and god work together? I thought you guys were enemies?"
"We were till I got kicked out of hell and he let me become a lesser god." Said satan.
"Now we work together and as our last officer is missing we need a new one a demon hunter of sorts." Said God.
"Wait so you want me to hunt down deadly demons? you have got to be kidding me how can I even tell who the hell us a demon?" I ask.
"You already do see the differences everyday it's your gift." Said god.
     "My gift?" I ask.
"You have an incredibly rare gift that allows you to be able to see demons as they are and see their disguises you see on two planes of existence." Said Satan.
"So Ssmmual," God started, " You have a choice drop your old life to live again upon he earth working for us as we supply you with everything that you need oooor.... you can stay dead and live with your choices but hurry it has been three weeks and in two days if you don't decide soon your mother may doe to the demon in the hospital."
"Put what I need in my ICU room and get me the fuck down there." I said.
"Knew you'd see it our way." Said Satan.
"I ain't doin' it for you this is for my Momma and I'm doin' it my way not yours." I said as they faded into blackness.
