THE LAKE

The Lake was an occasional place for all Anthrarians to go to cool off, especially during the summer. But in the lake lived a Creature only some could imagine. As some of the locals describe it, The Creature has hooved long legs, a massive bear-like body and a wolf head. It had gills and a tail alike to the many sea dragons around the area, long tapering and webbed.

The Creature goes by many names. Lux, Magnet and Fish-Face and many more. But it used to be known to be passive, non-aggressive, even as some children who have been saved by it, call it to be a 'teddy bear'.

But one day, there was a death at The Lake. A young teenager went to dump trash into it, but he was killed. Dragged into the water and drowned, as many people say. As to how many people have known The Creature, it has never done that. The teenager's body was never found and the mystery had gone into a cover-up since then. Neither had The Creature returned to the surface yet.

But that wasn't enough for the news reporter, David Archean. Dave couldn't stand the thought of a murder being covered up. So he went to explore it himself. Dave took his backpack full of supplies and necessities. His wife begged for him to not go, but he ignored her call for him.

Dave walked among the beach at night, and returned to his house during the day. He had never liked to discover with small, fragile children in his way. Besides the fact that it was his son that died. Farland Archean, son of the Archeans, brother to Gerald Archean.

Dave shook off the fact of his own son's death and whispered to the heavens, "Please dear Xihe, protect my son and keep him out of trouble." And he kept walking atop the soft grains of sand, feeling the presence of another spirit.

"Is that Farland?" Dave asked.
