The obscurus dived underground into the train station, and Celeste quickly followed, running down the stairs.
"Credence, please." Celeste whispered, hiding behind a pillar. "Don't do this. You are better, than this. I can help you. We can help you."
Then, when she felt her guts would potentially implode, she came out from behind her hiding spot, hands up as if in surrender.
"Remember me?" She chuckled nervously. "It's Celeste." Tears pricked her eyes at the memory. "I was with Tina, and we found you, Credence, we saved you. Please let us do it again. Let us help you, and you never have to suffer again."
The obscurus landed, turning into a figure. That small meek figure, was Credence.
"Do you remember me?" She asked again hopefully.
"I-I remember you." He whispered, and Celeste let out a breath of relief, walking towards Credence and wrapping him in a hug. He was trembling and cold, and had gone stiff for a moment when Celeste hugged him, but eventually relaxed in her arms, where he broke down.
"M-Mary Lou died, I trusted Mr. Graves. I-I thought he was different!" Credence stuttered into Celeste's arms, and Celeste rubbed his back.
"Shhh, it's okay."
All was peaceful until a searing pain ran through Celeste, and she let out a yell and fell back, letting go of Credence, who started trembling again.
"C-Celeste!" Credence yelled.
She looked up to see Graves' face for a second before she was blasted again with the painful force, sending her farther back. Credence had run away.
Graves aimed another curse at Celeste, but she had rolled away, dodging the next three hexes before she hid behind a pillar. She felt the blow of a curse hitting a shield, and turned to see Newt trying to stop Graves.
Celeste ran up to him, standing in front of Credence along with Newt as they blocked the curses coming their way, until Graves got this idea to curse the tracks, which rose up and knocked the two of them down.
A stream of profanities left Celeste's mouth when agony ran up her spine as Graves continued cursing the two. He added more force with each blow, until they had heard whimpering and all turned to see Credence dissolving into dark mass.
"Credence!" Celeste yelled, and the obscurus headed straight for Graves, causing him to stop cursing the two and look up.
"Credence." Graves whispered, before the obscurus crashed into the side of the train station wall and cause all of them to Disapparate somewhere safe.
The obscurus appeared everywhere unpredictably, and Newt and Celeste had to keep Apparating to stop themselves from getting crushed by the dark mass.
Celeste was more than unhappy when the obscurus crashed up and out of underground, breaking a few building tops before crashing back through the hole it created in the underground. Celeste, Newt, and Graves, who all just happened to fall at the exact same spot, shielded themselves for the inevitable when the obscurus came crashing down to them.
"Credence no!" Tina ran in, slowing, eyes unmoving from the obscurus. It slowed, coming to a swirling rest right above the three. "Don't do this, please."
"Keep talking Tina, keep talking to him, he'll listen to you. He's listening." Newt said.
Tina's eyes watered as she genuinely wanted to talk to Credence, and she looked to me to help her.
Celeste stood up went to stand next to Tina.
"This is Tina, Credence, she was the one I talked about earlier." Celeste explained. "The one who can help you."
"I know what that woman did to you," Tina said, and Credence appeared through the dark mist. "I know that you've suffered. You need to stop this now."
Celeste, eyes turning red from trying to hold back her tears, looked down at her feet, and then back up, straight into Credence's eyes.
"I know you can do this, Credence."
"Newt, Celeste, and I will protect you." Tina said. "This man, he's using you."
"Don't listen to her Credence." Graves tried to say. "I want you to be free."
"Stop!" Celeste cut in, fuming. "Just stop, with all these, lies! You've never wanted anything out of him! Just give up already!" She looked up to Credence with pleading eyes. "You can do this, Credence, that's it!"
But the group was cut off when MACUSA aurors and President Picquery all rushed to the underground.
"Shh! Don't! You'll frighten him!" Tina shouted.
"Wands out!" Someone yelled.
"Anyone harms him they answer to me!" Graves said furiously. "Credence!"
"Credence? Shhhh, no!" Tina yelled when all the MACUSA agents fired straight at the obscurial.
"No! Stop! STOP!" Celeste shouted hopelessly, the tears finally streaming down her face.
All she could do was watch, watch as Credence yelled in pain, slowly dying, slowly fading away.
"How could you.. How could you all be so heartless?"
