"Ugh..." I whispered under my breath. I opened my eyes to see where I was. I looked up and saw a light right over me. The light was dim in the area I was in and it didn't travel very far. My skin was cold and my vision was slightly blurry. I had no feeling it was so cold. I sat higher as I took in my surroundings. As I sat there, wondering where I was, I noticed a metal, silver table that I was laid down on that had a large spot of blood. I still had no feeling, so I couldn't tell if I had been cut. The table stood in the middle of room. Near the walls of the room there were many wooden crates and glass bottles. There was a door to the left of the table. There was also one refrigerator in the corner on the right side of the wall opposite from the door.
My long blond hair, that was in a ponytail, was now dirty and greasy and reached past my shoulders. I stood at 5 feet and 8 inches with black sneakers. I wore tight jeans with a red shirt and a black long-sleeved shirt underneath. My eyes were a bright blue with a hint of gray around the pupil. I stood up to try to get a better look around.
Then I heard this slight static noise from 4 speakers in each of the corners of the room against the ceiling. After the static was gone, I heard a voice. A very deep , male voice that sent shivers down my spine. The voice slowly said this: "Welcome, visitor. You're probably wondering where you are. You are underground. You have fallen into a hole. You are now at the start of a series of chambers. Down here we are going to play a little game. In order to escape each chamber and progress to the next, you must locate each chambers activation lever somewhere nearby. It may be increasingly difficult to find each activation lever as well as escape unharmed. You see, you are not alone down. There is a man down here who wants to cut you up and eat you. His name is Damion Clyde, and he is blind, but he listens. So, be quiet, visitor. Be very, very quiet. Go ahead, find the lever. My voice is waiting."
As I finished listening to the deep voice that came from the speakers, my vision began to clear up. I started to think this was all just a prank. But, without any fear, I walked around the frigid room to find the one thing that could open the door, one step closer to getting out of this retched chamber series- the lever. I knew that it would take some intense looking around to find the lever he was talking about on the intercom. I started by looking in the refrigerator. I screamed in terror as my eyes filled with tears. I quickly slammed the door shut and covered my nose and mouth with both hands. I learned one thing- the man that was speaking to me was definitely not a prank, and was totally right about the psychopath cannibal, Damien. What I had found in the fridge would not leave my mind- ponds of bloody human flesh.
With the info the the man gave me zooming through my head, I was very alerted about what might happen to me. I assumed that the blind man would come back sooner or later to feast on his own kind and eventually find me. Or, maybe, soon, that will be me in that refrigerator. I wiped away my tears and looked under all of the crates, contemplating for my way out. No luck. I tried under the table and near the door. Not much more luck than observing under the crates. I didn't know what else to do. Maybe the lever is on the other side of the door. Maybe there is no lever. I knew I was doomed. I wished that my life would be over already. I sat in the corner in front of the fridge and put my face in my thighs. I started to weep as I lifted my head so my eyes peaked over my knees, I glanced around once more to find the activation lever. No luck..... except I saw something..... something maybe I looked over or just never even saw at all. I got up to see what it was. I slowly walked over and crossed my fingers.....
It was the lever! I got a good grip on the top and pulled it with all my might with out hesitation. The door sunk into the wall as I heaved on the lever. I finally got the lever to touch the floor and the door opened all the way. I sped walked around the table and through the chamber door. I walked into the next chamber and the door closed behind me. I looked back as it closed then looked forward.
