First lesson; Art; my favourite subject, I’m working on a huge project, it’s an expressive piece, with different items representing different aspects of my personality and life. At the moment it consists of a microphone, showing how I desire to speak up towards the movie like mean girls. The microphone itself is a jet black, with a silver metallic rim. It has an elegant stand with pink encrusted gems, sparkling.
I look over to my left, where my best friend Alice’s work is, a collage of her family in the style of a broken puzzle, ripped and into pieces. The top puzzle piece shows an elegant, young women, Alice’s mother, who left Alice and her family for a more ‘glamorous’ lifestyle ( caviar, three tiered cake style) and believe me, she looks to glam to give damn about her two children and heartbroken husband. She is pictured with a long, sleek, dyed blonde hair cut and had an immaculate, made- up face, which reminds me of one of those photo-glossed models you see plastered on billboards.
Next to her mother, is a tear, and next to the tear is a middle aged man, with a young boy of about six years old, and a young girl of about sixteen. The father figure portrays a forlorn look and looks preoccupied with thoughts on how to single handily run a family. The young boy looks innocent, and almost confused, wondering why his mother left with no rhyme or reason. The young girl looks lost, like a beautiful parrot in among many muddy, drooling dogs.
I peer over to my right, and take a glimpse of my other best friend, Clara’s work. Clara’s work consists of a collage of a Barbie doll. The pieces of the collage show how the doll was broken into a thousand, colourful pieces, which many people tried to put back together again, but the pieces didn’t quite fit anymore, but the doll was still forced to have a picture perfect, camera ready smile regardless.
The girl opposite me, Lucy, who is shy, reserved and only speaks when spoken to, is painting a beaded necklace, with multi-coloured beads, shimmering with different colours, ranging from sapphire blues, emerald greens to rose pinks.
