Bella stepped out of her beaten up truck and breathed in deep, collecting her nerves, and catching a new scent besides the sugary sap of the Cullens. It was strangely similar to Elijah's but more woodsy, and she walked quicker to the house.

As Bella walked through the door she was immediately rushed away from the entrance and found herself in Edward Cullen's arms. She pushed him off of her, attempting to get out of his grasp but he just smiled at her and she rolled her eyes at his typical childish behavior.

The entire Cullen family ignored the two, used to the idea of Edward being possessive, and continued giving their entire attention to the stranger in the house.

She turned around to actually see what was going on, and her eyes landed on a tall man with curly blonde hair and blue eyes, which were currently staring at her. Bella cocked her head, light brown curls spilling down her shoulder, and raised an eyebrow at the familiar man. He looked strangely similar to a drawing she could've sworn she has seen before, and he paused in his conversation with Carlisle when Bella stepped forward. The man smiled, showing dimples and she resisted the urge to smile back, all through her instincts which were telling her to run.

"Hello love, I'm Klaus Mikaelson," he said with an English accent and recognition clicked in Bella's mind.

She resisted the urge to slap her forehead and instead just quietly groaned. Of course, his appearance to Rebekah was too similar to ignore, and his scent resembled that of Elijah's. She stepped closer to him instead, pretending to shake his hand and leaned in to whisper into his ear.

"Oh so you're the legendary asshat," she quietly said, and his smile slipped away.

"And who might you be then?" he asked her, stepping closer and allowing his eyes to flash yellow.

She rolled her eyes, and allowed them to flash their natural misty green in turn, before smirking and stepping closer to him.

"Wouldn't you like to know?" she whispered so quietly even the Cullens wouldn't hear.

"I'm Isabella Swan," she added louder, winking and taking out her hand which he took and kissed gently.

At this she lightly smiled, remembering this being the exact first encounter she had with Elijah, and nodded in the slightest way before Edward and Alice stepped around them and gave Bella a strange look.

"Ah Klaus I see you've met Bella, our son Edward's lovely lady," Carlisle said as he came into the room, and as Klaus looked back at her she could've sworn he looked surprisingly more curious than before.

"Bella love don't stare at Klaus, come here," Edward said and she turned around, glaring at him.

Her mood dropped immediately. Edward's consistent possessiveness had been particularly incessant these past few weeks, and she had grown more tired of it as the days passed. Feeling used and absolutely finished with her little adventure of Isabella Swan, Bella finally snapped.

"You don't own me Edward," she said sharply and he exhaled lowly as if Bella was simple an overgrown child.

"You're my girlfriend Bella so do as I say, come here. We don't know if Klaus would hurt you," he said and she glared even harder. If looks could kill, Edward would be scattered on the floor like a broken porcelain doll.

"Why are you being so possessive? Did leaving me after my birthday suddenly rewire you into actually giving a shit?" she burst out before even thinking about what she was saying, and then caught the eye of Rosalie who was trying not to grin.

Edward began to sputter and if he was human she could only imagine the shades of red he would be turning right now, complete with the steam coming out of his ears like a cartoon. Klaus sat on the couch was watching them, and chuckled as he gave Bella a thumbs up which she ignored. She instead stepped far away from Edward and ignored Alice who was screeching about the future changing, and grabbed Rosalie's hand.

Despite never having a friendship with the Cold One, Bella felt that the only person from the Cullens that would remotely go along with her plan, it would be Rosalie. The young vampire looked at her in shock as Bella dragged her to her car and announced her little idea.

"I need to go shopping," she said and quickly sped out of the driveway, Rosalie asking no questions until they got to Seattle's mall.

"Bella what happened back there?" she asked her once they reached the mall and the teenager leaned her head against the wheel, contemplating an answer.

"I'm sick of Edward seeing as just another frail human when he doesn't even know who I am or anything about me really," she said, quickly formulating a half-lie, and then got out of the car, making sure her credit cards and phone were in her pockets.

Once inside Rosalie began to warm up to her, ignoring the complete ambiguity she kept letting slip out. As Bella let more of her real side out, being completely the opposite of little Isabella Swan, Rosalie quickly began to warm up to her.

"Let's go here," she said, pointing to the hair salon and Bella shook my head.

"That's alright, watch this," she said, dragging her into an empty bathroom, and then waved a hand over herself. She glanced in the mirror and smiled at her natural self, thick curls going down to her waist and her eyes returning to their original light green.

Rosalie stared at her for a while and her eyes widened slightly, "H-How?" she finally managed to say and she grinned.

"I'm special," Bella said and she accepted the answer, giving her a look that said 'later', and then continued dragging me off to designer stores for more clothing that Bella enjoyed far more than Isabella's prude little facade.

                                                                        ***

Around five hours later and about 400 missed calls (she counted) from Edward and Alice, Rosalie and Bella finally arrived at the Cullen house and she came out dressed a bit more like herself: a black halter top with some jeans, paired with new heels.

"Bella?! What are you wearing? This is completely inappropriate!" Edward shouted and she simply sighed and sat next to Klaus to continue pissing Eddie off, to which Klaus took notice of and smirked at her. He had no idea what the little human was up to, but if he assumed his deduction was correct, Edward's little Isabella Swan is not a fragile teenager at all.

"So why is Klaus here?" she asked and the family turned to Edward, finished with staring at Bella.

"Well he has decided to visit us on account of the Volturi with me after the incident, so that they won't bother us any longer," Edward explained and she looked at him.

"What did you do?" Bella asked Edward, anger rising at the continuous stupidity of the ginger cold one and he shrugged.

"Calm down kitten, all we did was give them a little talk," Klaus said and she glanced at him in curiosity. Kitten?

Klaus smirked at her, attempting to get a rise out of the small girl, and seemed surprised when she simply shrugged it off.

"Well Klaus should probably find a place to stay-" "Charlie wouldn't mind" Bella piped up, cutting Esme off and Edward looked at her with fury.

"Your home is not available to other men Bella," he said and she smirked wickedly.

"Come on Nik, I'm not going to hold my offer forever," she said while holding my gaze with Edward.

"It would be a pleasure lovely Bella," Klaus said and then Bella smiled and grabbed his hand, walking with him out the door after saying goodnight to the Cullens.
