A few blocks away, the screaming intensified. Which is where she was. Out and about, just walking the streets, head down, hood up, mask on, all weapons were hidden. No one in the city paid attention to her, surprisingly, she stayed in the shadows. She looked towards a small alley, a teenager, barely a teenager, was there, surrounded by men. How many? Too many to tell. Smiling softly, she looked up at the building near here. Swiftly climbing a latter, she turned on the spotlight on the roof, meant for the police, but she had a reason to turn it on. Eh.. She'd be forgiven, it was for a good cause. She pointed the light to the alley, waiting for a perfect time to turn it on. Grabbing her railgun from her back, she aims it, shooting the person closest to the teenager, surprisingly. Whoever it was, they were down. She quickly turned on the spotlight, aiming it at the crowd around the teenager. She fired again, a person in the middle down. Again, a person towards the front. The crowd started to realize where the shots were coming from but didn't see anyone. They wondered, got curious, like fools and started to move towards the building, through it. Little did they know, there, in fact, was a latter. Yet, no trace of an actual person. She made her way down the latter, landing with a soft thud, thankfully covered by the screams of the hellish city. She darted towards the teenager, hiding her face, leaving the bodies there, for it wasn't her priority. 'Come here, you need to trust me. I know a place you can stay.' She said to the teenager, in almost an urgent whisper. Taking the teenager by the hand. She ran. Far away from that building. She ran until she reached her building, one of the few where most were actually sleeping, or watching TV, nothing out of the ordinary. She housed the teen in an apartment, filled with others like her. She said, 'There people were just like you, stay in the building, don't make a noise, get some rest. I'll come back tomorrow.' Closing the door softly, she went to her own apartment, to rest. She had to do what's right for the greater good, no matter what the cost. She felt a change, but she didn't know what the change was. Who knows. Something was gonna happen and she felt it. She just hoped it was good. Everything's about to change, she felt it in her veins, the feeling wasn't going away, she knew tomorrow, or later, was gonna be the day.
