It was a dark and gloomy night. The Thompson sisters left with Maka to go to the movies, which means Kid had the whole manor to himself. At the moment, Kid stood in front of his bathroom mirror, looking like a wreck. Ever since his beloved Black Star left on a mission, he seemed... off and worried all the time.

Lord Death's reflection appeared with a ripple. "Honorable father... what do you need?" Kid's voice was hoarse and raspy. He didn't care for symmetry or neatness anymore. He could barely speak to his own father.

"I feel that you should know this first... but Black Star is finally home. I told him to visit you, seeing that you've been... off lately. I also feel that he can fix that." Kid's father smiled under his mask at his son's reaction. His once dull eyes brightened up into their normal gold.

"Thank you... dad." Kid spoke through parted lips. "I love You so much!" he gushed loudly.

"I love You too, son. Now, I have to get back to work. Seeya!" Lord Death waved before the mirror seemed to trickle like water. Kid smiled to himself.

"I can finally do what I had planned." he mumbled.

"Black Star! Where are you going? Lord Death wants us at Kid's place." Tsubaki yelled. She boiled with anger as the boy seemed motionless.

"I sense it. Kid hates me now for not telling him that I was on a mission. I just know it." Black Star's eyes darkened as he turned away from Tsubaki.

"Are you insane? Don't you at least want to see him after a year?" Tsubaki pleaded her meister.

"I-I do... but,.. I'm scared of how he'll react." Black Star's eyes began to water.

"Well, it's either we stand in the middle of the road, go home, or listen to Lord Death and go to Kid's. Please, Star, You heard his dad's words. Kid's broken and needs you to save him." Tsubaki spun him around.

"But-"

"You're the great Black Star who is going to surpass God, so don't be scared and get your ass to that manor, now, Black Star!" Tsubaki pointed in the general direction of Kid's place,"I'm tired of listening to your nonsense, so listen to me for a second. Kid needs you right now. God only knows if he already attempted to do something stupid. Please, Black Star... save him." Tsubaki's eyes were shaded by her bangs. Black Star gasped but nodded.

"I will. For you, Tsubaki. You go home and get washed up. I'll be back in a few." Black Star triumphantly stared at the girl as she walked away.

"Thank you." she mumbled.

It was dim and surprisingly, the place was asymmetrical. Glass and such was everywhere. It was almost like a bull ran through a China shop. Black Star stepped over the heaps of garbage to get to the stairs. He heard giggling but was stopped by something red. It was a rose pedal. He looked up and found more of them leading to somewhere. Once at the top step, The assassin was greeted by an amazing smell.

Scented candles.

It was his favorite smell because Tsubaki used them at their place to rid the smell of sweat due to his training. He followed the smell and rose pedals until he stopped at a perfectly symmetrical door. It was probably the only thing symmetrical after seeing downstairs.

"Open the door~" Kid's husky voice purred from the other side of the wooden door. Is he okay? Black Star thought as he opened the doors. The sight before him made him gasp. Kid was sprawled out on his perfectly symmetrical bed in his perfectly symmetrical room. The rose pedals trailed from the floor and then, they covered Kid's crotch.
